This was an interesting thread Slide! Sort of a social experiment,(I know you didn't mean it to be) and fun, I enjoyed the 5 minutes, loved the music! Thanks for posting it!

haha holy crap, this Ive seen many times but didn't really pay attention to, i know its just an optical illusion, but try this when you stare at it for awhile squint your eyes to where they are almost closed, and her face is completely different i think there's some type of layering going on, at first she just has more rigid less soft features than she begins to look tired than dead, she almost looks like Brittney spears when she was really screwed up, but try squinting your eyes and you'll see what i mean about the layering, like there may be different images of a less attractive or older woman under neath but in color tones that blend in during natural sight but once you take that focus away you can see whats beneath.

lol okay, after reading all these posts I've decided at a point to just click on it. Yes things do happen. Yes she does look like Denise Richards. And yes, it is an optical illusion, don't worry. You can tell by the way that her face seems a bit blurry and her neck isn't, yet everyone says he face seems to change. The reason is, is that it works like this. Because of the vibrant colour, when you stare at one of the pronounced colours in her face, another colour will slowly dissolve. So for this picture, when you stare at her unusually colourful big blue eyes (which are in a gradient, not solid, which is important) the unusually colourful red lips begin to slowly thin, making it look like her mouth is more serious or pursed. When you look at her mouth, you can see that she's smiling, because now you realize that there is a sliver of white in between and the ends of the gradient (the less red parts), are more visible, making her lips bigger and in a different shape. She's happy. But when you look at it this way (at her mouth), her eyes will begin to change.

Search up optical illusions on youtube, and out of one of the videos, there should be a demonstration that either has you look at a picture of two stars of different colour, (where if you look at one, the other disappears) or a picture of a black dot with a radial gradient, and when you look at the direct centre (the black dot), the gradient pulsating from it will disappear. There is also another example of a black dot in the middle with light colours around it, and when you concentrate on the black dot, the colours disappear. Search it up on youtube, it is an optical illusion.

I saw nothing moving, however, I did notice that her eyes darken when you make your eyes go out of focus and brighten up when they are in focus. Somethings telling me she doesnt look japanese...

Actually, I believe thats the whole thing about it, watch it for 5 mins, your eyes are bound to go out of focus, I have also noticed in this state that her facial expression changes and her eyes are looking upwards.

However, its quite an interesting picture when you put it in context, well drawn and one of a pretty female.

I stared at it for a long while, and the only thing that happened was the colors blurred together and gave the impression of the girl wobbling. This happens with all pictures, especially when you strain your eyes and squint. It is an interesting picture though, but an optical illusion.
