I collect antique keys. I don't know why, but I love old keys, maybe it has something to do with the history of them. I actually have the last batch I bought in my purse that I have been carrying around for about a year, I just never took them out. LOL.

I also collect Breyer horses, although I haven't gotten a new one in about 8 years.

I seem to collect anything with snowmen on them. I had noticed it when I was putting out my Christmas decorations last year that I have a lot of snowmen figurines, pictures, tabletop decorations and ornaments.

I also seem to be collecting cats. Offically, I have four. Everytime I move around, I tell the landlord that I don't have a cat so I send it to my parents. Then once I move in and notice everyone else around me has either a few cats or a couple of dogs, I get one of my own. Two of my cats are at my parent's house and I have two here.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, lol! I have 3 living with me and 3 (was 4 but my oldest passed away) living at my In-laws (they have 5 of their own and a large property, I lived there for 2 years and my cats were just too used to being outdoor cats/running all over to go with me when I moved. The only one that came with us is my Daughter's cat).
I always joked about being the 'Crazy Cat Lady', I'm well on my way! wacko.gif

I also have three. 8) Five, if you count my neighbor's cats that I take care of. And any additional cat I happen to meet is immediately attracted to me like a magnet so it's incredibly difficult for people not to ask, "Hey! Do you want it?" I can't have anymore though, our tortie (Half) is getting pretty old and she never liked other cats to begin with, and she's pretty much a solitary cat. When her friend Berry died we got a kitten to keep her occupied, and she hated him for the longest time. Now that we've gotten another though, she seems to have taken up with the Persian we got her two years ago.

We can't have outdoor cats because of the dogs that tend to get lose, and they're known cat killers. sad.gif

I'd be your equivalent of a cat whisperer. laugh.gif And you'd better believe when I get my own house, I will not refuse when someone asks me if I want their cat. XD Then, I will suggest you start looking for me in the newspaper, because I'll be the cat lady to get arrested for having a number over the legal limit.

Shot glasses, because they are small. They used to be cheap, but I paid up to $5 each for some.

I don't have a lot of space. The books, CD's and DVD's I own must be something I really like.
So if it's bad or mediocre, it gets traded, given to charity, etc.

When I go to heaven, I hope to find out if all the people I gave directions to made it to their destination.

With the holidays not far away, I forgot to mention that I also collect snowmen..Any shape and size, I must have over 60 of them. Each year after Christmas when the sales go on, I usually pick up 1 or 2 more, put them away and forget I have them till it's time to decorate...

I collect chess sets. I have had opportunity to travel to different parts of the world and I've been playing chess since my grandfather taught me when I was 7 years old. I especially like sets that represent the location I bought it. I have chess sets made of jade which I bought outside the Chichen Itza Mayan ruins (2 sets), a set I bought in Turkey, 2 sets from South Korea, a set from Buenos Aires (which pits the Gauchos against the natives) 2 marble sets I bought in central Mexico, a set with a Hindu motiff (I bought this from a nice Indian man at the local mall), and a set I bought in Uganda. I hope to eventually buy a set in Australia, and I also would like to get sets from Europe.

I too like rocks of all kinds... but I have a tendency to collect and make jewelry more than anything.

The jewelry I like to collect is fine jewelry quality watches, I'm obsessed with them. But I also collect costume, rhinestone jewelry from the Victorian era up to about 1954. I have a pretty huge collection actually.

I thought you rock collectors might like this photograph. If you're ever in Seattle and love rocks, you must visit this place. It's called the Scratch Patch. A friend of my mothers owns the store, and she imports the polished stones (all gemstones) directly from South Africa. You go in, and spend as much time as you like sitting in the rocks, picking through them and fill a bag up to take home. It's extremely affordable, you pay simply by the bag size you want. It's a great deal of fun. Ananda has short business hours because most of her customers request private parties. She's recently expanded the size of the store to three times the size of these pictures. It's been a raging success. There are other Scratch Patch stores around the world including Australia, British Columbia Canada, and England I believe. They also do traveling shows with a trailer on the same concept. If I'm not mistaken, this is the only store in the United States.
