God what a rant. The problem is HER POLICIES.

And what policies would that be?

Please don't bother posting about creationism, succession, "big oil" etc etc. Get some new stuff.

1,000% agreed! And the better for being different.

So mothers with children, mothers with pregnant children, mothers with children in the military, mothers with handicapped children, mothers who juggle career and family shouldn't identify with her and feel a sympatico with her?

in Alaska. Maybe. Not so much here in the lower 48.

Not necessarily. We've had our hypocritical LA poster bragging up her city's 33million residents as she sneers at the Alaska governor. I live in "fly-over" country, and have an appreciation for sparsely populated states. I'm at least proud/confident enough to post my location, something I notice you've failed to do.

This is one reason Governor Palin is viewed as a representative of the Everyman. The fact she's an immensely popular governor, fairly elected by her constituents, speaks wonders.

As MasterPro said, these are the women who can definitely identify with Palin, and they are going to be a big plus in the election.  I've been around for alot of Presidential elections and I look back and can honestly say that no one on the tickets influenced me personally.  Palin has been there, done that and this is what people want to see and hear.  She is honest and straight-forward, and it's not the same old, same old.  She is relating to alot of women, and from what I've read on the polls, there are alot who are going gung ho with her.  Whether she wins or not, she has definitely bought life into an otherwise boring campaign... original.gif

Who the hell cares about Oprah? I certainly don't. She's just another fat cat on T.V.

Seems like the whole thing's academic anyway. Palin is avoiding the press (even the fluff press, like Oprah) like the plague.

Palin believes she should have the right to regulate my womb.

She's got antiquated views as to what "choice" means.

Apparently we do.

Plus she's no longer "fat."

I have no opinion on it. :/ She might have Sarah on her show after the elections though.

So you vote according to what a person has done to be "proud of"? They could well be a great Satan in their beleifs and policies and you don't care? Woman should support Palins despite her wacko ideas? Fat chance.

Yes..I do use what they have done (just like a litmus test) to rationalize my vote.  If they don't do squat-and/or if they do things and none of those things are to be proud of, then why elect them???

Your 'logic' applies to whatever Hilliary or Obama (or anyone of any party for that matter) has done to get where they are at as well..

/never said I was going to vote for McCain/Palin..It's just that Oprah seems to be partisan and unfair by giving Sen. Obama time and refusing the same to Gov. Palin.  Bill O'Reilly would be unfair as well if he gave time to McCain and refused to let Barak on the show to talk about his ideas and plans. Letting her on the show to talk of issues is not an endorsement. Oprah is simply scared that Palin might make some inroads with her viewers..
//In comparison: O'Reilly gave Obama AND Hilliary excellent (and fair) interviews...Oprah doesn't have the fairness/honor/spine to give the same to the Republicans...
///I repeat: Oprah is a fat, partisan hack...

I have to laugh.  Everyone's all atwitter about her not having Palin on.

It's MCCAIN that Obama is running against.

Palin is the vp candidate.

If Oprah wanted to be even, she'd invite McCain....NOT Palin

It's her show.  She can have on whomever she wants.

Oprah's made it official.  She's not going to have Sarah Palin on. She says she doesn't want her show to become a platform for candidates.
