It's not busted. This episode in an of itself was one big biased hoax to make people think this was the ail on the coffin of the "hoax". Of COURSE this would be made by americans, using NASA equipment.

The shamed americans just don't want to believe that they were too weak to go to the moon, and were pissy that the glorious Russians beat them to space. They won. The Russians won, and the americans lost. And that is why this hoax exists.

That by far has been the most critical point for me. If the Russians, who were watching America's every move during the space race, as we were to them, never once mentioned it being a hoax either at the time it happened or subsuquently then it happened. Don't you think our cold war enemy wouldn't have jumped at the chance to humiliate America and bolster their own space superiority worldwide by declaring it a hoax and proving so? What bigger shame could you think of? There is no way they would have let it slide and just let America have the first walk on the moon and all the glory if it was faked.
Science, my lad, is made up of mistakes, but they are mistakes which it is useful to make, because they lead little by little to the truth.

I don't know why people still argue over this who cares if it was a hoax or not, we are doing bigger and better things in space now, that are so much bigger then the moon landing, we can travel in space, hurrah, lets move forward now.

The Moon Trip was real, the REAL hoax is how big the moon is, you see it's really small, which means it's really close so it's inside the Van Allen belt, they just want us to think it's far away so they can keep all that precious moon oil to themselves. First we drill Alaska, then the MOON!

Well I watched the whole episode when it was on tv and if I recall correctly they CONFIRMED that it was real. Course I would love to be proven wrong.

What they actually showed was that the three leading arguments for it being a hoax were wrong.

You cannot be serious here? It is such a sad thing to read such drivel on an outstanding forum such as this. To even infer that the Russians did anything more than waste the talents of most of the German....and notice I said GERMAN and not Russian scientists they abducted after WWII is ridiculous to say the least.

The Americans won the space race and AMERICAN men walked on the moon. Please do us all a favor and cease from masking reality with non factual innuendo.
