A standing offer of $250,000 to anyone who can give any empirical evidence (scientific proof) for evolution.

if its evolution without a god , which means they would have to perfectly explain how life came from no life and demonstrate it ... then good luck to the atheists .

This guy has been so throughly discredited it's not even funny.  Heck, he outright stated that he would only pass evidence for evolution to his panel of 'experts' (which, incidentaly, he has never identified) after he personally found the evidence 'worthy'.

Several papers have been written on his 'challenge'.  If anyone thought there was actually anything to be gained, he could conceivably be prosecuted for fraud.

You have to remember that this is the guy who says that credit cards are the sign of the Beast and that AT&T is controled by the Illuminate. Soooooo..... I mean I am a Christianist but I still think this guy goes off the deep end quite often.

Except that the million dollar challenge has the money in certificates, available for public confirmation.  Where's the $250,000.00?  Hovind defers.  (Oh, and he isn't a doctor.  His PhD was discredited as well.  He still uses the title though)

Oh, and Randi offers a wide variety of experts in science and magic (the stage kind) to test challenges.  Hovind...well, he won't name names because, well, you know, privacy and all that.  But he has a jury.  Oh, yes, honest injun, he does.

Randi's challenge consist of preliminary test in which you are invited to make a quick demonstration in front of the experts of your abilities.  Hovind...send him your evidence and he will decide if it is worthy of going to his jury.

Sorry, but as far as challenges go, Hovind's sounds more like a schoolyard double-dog-dare than a serious scientific challenge.

Hovind is a proven fraud, a consitent liar and fundamentalist moron  His methods are highly suspect and it is more than likely he doesn't even have the money which would indicate he has absolutely no intention of ever admitting to evolution.

As far as Randi is concerned, he's very open about his challenge, and as far as i can tell it seems very much legit, perhaps people should stop pretending they have powers and giving the 'real' psychics, deviners, mediums blah lblah a bad name.

Even Creationists give warning not to take Hovind too seriously.  Considering how much evidence these people need to do anything, it speaks volumes.
