I was in high school. One time before that though he'd been in a really serious coma for days because of a drug overdose of some sort, and I thought he was doing to die then, but he snapped out of it. His drug problems were pretty legendary. It was sad but I wasn't extremely shocked to hear it.

At the time I wasn't really into their first album because it was too overplayed, I could enjoy until later. I loved their second album, it was completely different. It's a shame we'll never get to see a third.
