If I have to pick just one, I will definitely say The Beatles. But I also love:
Stones, Zeppelin, Floyd, Sabbath, Maiden, Oasis, Smiths, Belle and Sebatian, Manic Street Preachers...

Right at this time it is just too hard to choose one favorite Band, I am really digging Punk, Grunge and Goth Rock a Lot, regardless of the time of the bands popularity, it is how it moves me, as a Poet of the Dark and once Romance, or when the moods right for creating, But I am cool with a Lot of Bands, I am now and always was cool with:

The Cure.

Garbage.

Sisters of Mercy.

Concrete Blonde.

Iggy Pop.

Alice in Chains.

Seether.

Radiohead.

The Beatles, but only from Rubber soul on. I can't listen to she loves you etc. the Smiths were great too, but the variety of singing and instruments win it for the Beatles and they were cool too whereas Mozzer is a bit of a looser!

What's wrong with their pre-Rubber Soul stuff? That's what first made them popular.

Ladies and gentlemen... from Los Angeles, California... The DOORS!!! (listening to Roadhouse Blues right now)
I saw Led Zep play their next-to-last concert EVER in Munich, They had Simon Kirke (Bad Company) come out and play their 2-song encore with Bonzo as he had passed out a few nights earlier during their concert in Nurnberg. It was kinda like after knowing there really wasn`t a Santa Claus... and then seeing him. LZ was really that good.
And then I spent Memorial Day weekend of `81 in Paris and this uber-cute French girl wanted to take me to "where all the Americans" visited.
Pere La Chaise, Section 6.
Jim Morrison`s grave.
Power corrupts... absolute power is kinda neat!

Yes! I know no one else that likes Coheed.
My love for them has totally been revived in the past couple of months though.
They're right at the top.

I envy you, sir.

Now, my favorite band. It's hard to pick just one because I love and listen to a lot of stuff, but I guess I'm gonna go with Nirvana. They got me into music when I was a wee lad and made me pick up the guitar.

My favorite bands/artists are: of Montreal, Sunset Rubdown, Interpol, Arcade Fire, Matt and Kim, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Death Cab for Cutie, Pixies, Muse, Reverie Sound Revue, The Cure, Devotchka, Broken Social Scene, Ladytron, and more of Montreal.
