I can see why you guys would think i work for that film crew, but i can assure you that I do not. I live 2 blocks from the house and they sparked my interest in the house. I guess i had been hiding under a rock since i didn't know about it until they showed up but i just wanted you guys to be aware of this ("jewel" as i put it) because its not that well known but has a lot of story behind it.

The Sallie House has been built into kind of a legend which is why i didn't believe it at first (story about a girl who dies while getting appendix surgery? Sounds out there.) But there i hear about how the couple who lived there experienced a lot of ****. Like how Mr. Pickman got scratched, attacked and thrown against a wall. And some was caught on tape

Believe what you want to believe. But i do!

I will post any helpful info. I will admit the "caught on tape thing" is something he heard and not seen for myself. I guess a lot of my feelings derive from my time around the house. Its just something you have to feel i guess.

I'm not blowing smoke either, im gona search for the video i heard where Mr. Pickman gets attacked on camera and post it.  grin2.gif

As I said before, and sorry I lost my temper on it. I have been to the house and have had many problems since. The story of the little girl is honestly just a story. No one has been able to find any info that would suggest that she ever existed. That story came from a medium I do believe. There are many facts that have been found about the house. Many interesting stories besides just mine that are out there about the place. Many groups have gone and done investigations and some walk away with nothing, and some walk away with things that are hard to deal with.

Much of the evidence has not been published. There is good reason for this but I'm not the person who should explain them.

I am honestly glad most people do not believe this place to be true. I would hate to see the effect if everyone did.

As stated before, this place brings out the worst of me and I apologize for my attitude about it. I didn't believe any of it either until I went there. I can understand why others would feel the same as I did. Check it out for yourself, do the research and come to your own conclusions. Or don't, and just believe it is all fake.

Sallie House is VERY well known. I've known about it for YEARS and I lived in FL and then VT.  For you to live 2 houses down and not know.... sorry...  I don't believe you.  I've been in haunted houses, REAL haunted houses and I wouldn't say any of them are the most haunted regardless of all the activity.  There is no 'Most haunted'  Its all a gimmick.  Sallie House might have something there, but I seriously doubt most of the stories.

What qualifies a house to be the most haunted exactly? Is it quantity or quality? Like if my house has 3000 very respctful quiet ghosts who leave my things alone and don't push me or wake me up, does that not count? Or does a celebrity ghost count as more haunting than a regular non-celebraire ghost?

Because none of you have even bothered doing any research on the place. Why would you assume that I am lying? Not one of you even considered for a moment that I wasn't.

I know more about that house than I want to know. And as stated before the house IMO is nothing to be tampered with.

I have a friend on the Ghosts of Tombstone forum who has investigated the Sallie House, and runs Kansas Paranormal Society I think it's called.
You can go to the forum, and ask Jerry some questions if you all want to.
Me, I saw the house on the show Sightings and for whatever reason "Sallie"' didn't like him.

Atchison, Kansas is the definition of paranormal activity. I know, most people have never heard of The Sallie House and i didn't know about this little jewel hiding in my own town until recently. It has been visited by many paranormal experts like "Sightings." They have done 6 shows on the Sallie House alone. Then came other experts like Robbie Thomas (psychic from Canada) and Michael Esposito (EVP specialist). When they arrived i realized what this was all about.

The legend is that a doctor used to live there and had to do a late night surgery on a girl named Sallie. She died during the operation of a painful, horrible death because the doctor had nothing to deaden the pain. She thought she was being tortured and did not understand that he was trying to save her because her appendix was going to burst. Now no one is able to stay in that house for over 2 weeks. The owner can't keep the house rented for very long. The Pickmans lived their for around 22 weeks (longer than anybody) and Mr. Pickman was attacked numerous times. He was thrown against a wall and scratched and this was all caught on camera! Anyway, this house is very scary and i urge everyone that if they want to investigate it, to take a lot of caution.

Recently though film crews have been filming at the house again. I have noticed this because i live 2 blocks from the house and walk by frequently. Appearntly this new documenty on the house has created a lot of controvercy in our little town. I dont find anything wrong with it though, they are just trying to document the story. I found their website and it is very interesting, they have real attacks on film and use hardcore proof that their is something in that house.

Here's the site http://thesalliehousemovie.com/ <--- Go and check it out it is very interesting!

My name is Jerry Talbert and I am co-founder of the Kansas Paranormal Group and we have spent 4 years at the Sallie House and we have gathered a few hundred hours of video and hundreds of EVPs. I can tell you that the Sallie House is indeed haunted, but not the most haunted house in the country. I can also tell you that the story about the little girl "Sallie" has not been substantiated and probably never will. If the doctor operated on a little girl, then I believe they are at the wrong house. Once the doctor got married, he moved from his mother's house and into his own house which was next door. So for all of those psychic's who have given their own little stories, I'm afraid that they all got it wrong. There is information that we have withheld because we are tired of phony psychics repeating crap that is on the internet. As far as proof is concerned, what exactly do you want?
No matter what could be presented any skeptic will shoot it down. What I need is to have one of those skeptics with me so they can experience it first hand. And thank you Holly Dolly for the heads up on this forum because I wouldn't have found it otherwise.

I think that speaks about the quality of your evidence, rather than our close-mindedness, which i resent by the way.

skeptics are everywhere, well its not easy to believe everything just like that..

i agree with Jerry, skeptics just need to follow him to that house or anywhere haunted and experience themself... its hard to convince the eye that need to see to believe. The best is let the skeptics alone in the house and the best never reveal anything about the house on how its haunted... Just tell them, this house is haunted. try experience it .. ALONE....and .. give him some camera lol

No it doesn't speak to the quality. When Tony Pickman was caught on film to be scratched, the skeptics came out and said that it was done with make-up and special effects. The skeptics don't have to prove anything. They just sit around and claim this is how it could be done, but they don't go back and repeat the effect to prove that it is phony. This is simply a fact. What I have for proof are photos that have not been altered, EVPs that contain three voices saying the same thing at the same time  (of course we could have sat around and made the EVPs.) Why not join me sometime very soon?

And, of course, the fact that the scratching just happened to be caught on film right when the "Sightings" team was in the house doing a story on poor little "Sallie" shouldn't be held against the caliber of the evidence.  After all, "Sightings" was such a top-knotch news organization. . . .  They even brought in that "world famous" psychic with the snow-white hair and pitch-black mustaches, and surely HE would never prevaricate to hype himself or line his pockets, now would he?

I have no fear of literally anything.  So I guess if they'd want to test someone in the house, they can pay my way there, and I'll personally stay in the house forever, and if nothing happens to me whatsoever, it must be debunked.  The house must have digital cable connections, broadband internet connection, and a well stocked kitchen.  I'll be happy ever after. yes.gif
