So my wife & I went to go see the mindnight showing of Wolverine. For those of you fan of the comics there is some change as there is always in these types of movies. The movie is long almost 2 an Half Hrs. If you read Origins then you will be disspointed with the start of the movie. I'm not going to say a lot more about the movie untill others have seen it.

It was a very good movie & being a huge fan of the comic I loved it! thumbsup.gif

They crapped all over Gambit. Twas smelly.

I always liked the comics. I am looking forward to seeing "Gambit" being introduced as a character.

There were some things I didn't like but they can be help, they didn't make him out to be such a wuss this time. Well not as much anyhow The guy who played Greed was very good & the cast was awsome. I forget his name I know he's a good actor I was worried about him playing Victor but once the movie got going it wasn't a concern. Once again they down played him having superstrenth AGAIN! (Which really bugs me) I was hoping they would fix that this time.

I got talked into going to see this tomorrow night. LOL. I have only seen the first movie, and it was a long time ago, and I never read the comic books. I hear I'll probably be pretty well lost. LOL. But, Hugh Jackman is generally pretty easy on a girls eyes, so... well, I'll try to stay awake. hahaha. (I should have known that the moment I started dating a animator that I'd get dragged to a lot of superhero movies. rofl.gif My daughter is an animator as well, but she goes more japanese style, so I should have a pretty good background in both here pretty soon hahaha)

Ya, I caught that and it held my attention. LOL. It was a pretty good movie I guess. I was sorta lost since I'm not really well versed in Marvel comics. but, there was enough story line there that I kept up pretty well. My boyfriend liked it a lot (he's a GIANT Marvel fan), and he thought they did as well as they could for a 2 hour movie.

I noticed that Hugh Jackman really looks a lot like Clint Eastwood did these days. Notice the jawline and the wrinkles he gets between his eyebrows sometimes. I think Jackman needs to do a good Western. LOL

Watched it Friday night with my wife. I really enjoyed it... and my wife enjoyed the gratuitous Hugh Jackman nudity! tongue.gif

Haven't seen it yet, though likely will. I heard the story wasn't very good, that characters did a lot of stupid things, but overall it was fun. Did hear that they completely messed up Deadpool though, which sucks. That and the fact they made Wolverine only fight with American units (he's Canadian damn it) has made me wonder if I should just wait for the DVD. We'll see.

Also understand that different movies have different scenes at the end of it. Makes things a bit confusing.

Wolverine is the ONLY comic I read I think the comicbook is awsome! Considering that Wolverine is one of the most complex people in the Marvel universe, I think they did a very good job covering the some 200 years of his life. To bring the comic version of Wolverine to life the movie would of have to been at least 3 Hrs.

The movie itself is about Wolverine's past which is pointless since he can't remember. But what I really dislike is how they made Gambit, out of character.

Complete rubbish!

-A ton of useless characters
-Wolverine is too soft especially in movie were the trailer ran with the lines of "become the animal". The entire trailer barely had anything to do with the movie, the wars scenes were the opening credits, the 'special team' was over ten minutes after that.
-"We can't just let you walk away Logan"...and everybody just watches as he walks away.
-Goes to the island, find Stryker and Creed and his wife who screwed him over, traveled all that way...and just walks out and leaves, nobody stops him.
-Gambit comes in last second to save the day out of nowhere...what a horrible cliche.
-Deadpool...Reynolds owned the role but of course the script ruined the character with whatever the hell that crap was at the end.
-"Nobody gets to kill you but me" "were brothers" Logan and Creed team up at the end, how weak and predictable.
-Who the heck did the cgi in the bathroom scene were he is looking at his new claws? MS Paint?
-That guy from Lost's character...lets introduce him and kill him right away, pointless.
-Blob, not a poo on the comics, but what was his point other then to fill out the ranks of the short lived Weapon X team?
-Gambit, portrayed well enough...not sure why the hell he was in the movie though.
-Emma Frost being the chicks sister...ones pale white one is native american, I'm assuming they are step sisters. Not in the comics btw.
-Cyclops,Xavier, Frost, Gambit, etc...since X-Men 1-3 was about Wolverine I guess they had to compensate and add X-Men into the wolverine movie. Not in the comics btw.
-Final Fight is on top of a nuclear reactor, when Deadpool dies his laser beams destroy it, I'm pretty sure that causes a nuclear explosion or somekind of radiation or something other then nothing.
-A total rape of the source materials. All comic movies change things but The Dark Knight did it without taking a poo on it.

This movie was worse then Spiderman 3 and X-men the Last Stand combined. I'd rather watch Ang Lee's Hulk and Superman Returns back to back. This movie was on par with Batman and Robin.

I just really hope and can't wait till the Xmen and Fantastic Four movie rights revert back to Marvel.
