I used to live in Tombstone (yeah, really.)   The Epitaph was founded in 1880 and holds the distinction of being the state's oldest continuously published paper.  That definitely DOESN'T mean that the current employees know what every prior edition contained, nor that copies of all editions exist.  Could still have happened back when.
I believe reading somewhere someone went to a library and looked for previous versions, found one, but no photo accompanied the article, they arent lying about that.

From what I've read, the search for the Missing Photo has been ongoing since the late 1980s. There are several people who spent their own time and money, full time 8 hour days for weeks, to go looking and checked every single existing edition of the Tombstone Epitaph and were unable to find the suggested picture. They also have checked every old magazine, entire runs, that might have had the photo. It just does not exist in a magazine or newspaper format.

I've never seen it, but I've looked.

Here at Intel we make processors on 12 inch wafers. And, the individual processors on the wafers are called die. And, I am employed to check these die. That is why I am the DieChecker.

Yes I have to agree now that I think about it properly. It might not exist in the newspaper, but in the proper edition of the book (I'm not sure of the name, but the one everyone has said they've seen it in)

That looks close.. But, not the one I remembered that I'm sure people are looking for on here. Hmm.

The other day I was at a used bookstore, and I found the book everyone talks about that it should be in, and it wasn't in it.

Looks like a giant Vulture. If I remember correctly in this thread someone mentioned a vulture with a wingspan the size of the road, but a great new picture to come out. A source would be great also.

Closely examining that photo, I am led to believe that it's a photoshop.
The lighting is all wrong for the guy in the middle of the picture, look at his feet. There's no shadow in front of him, which is weird because the barn door is open behind him with light filtering in from outside.

Besides the fact that it looks as if the photo was developed on the side of a brown paper bag. Plus, why are the troops carrying drums instead of rifles? Are we to assume that they crescendo'd the bird to death?

Nice find but that's not the one I recall.

It's almost exactly the same, but the one I recall is on the side of a barn outside. That is inside.

Dissapointingly It's looking more and more like this may just be an abnormally sized vulture...
