I have an idea...
HOLLYWOOD, THINK UP SOMETHING NEW FOR GOODNESS SAKES!!!
*buffy fan - not rabid*

It is another thing to open your mind and slap a "For Rent/Best Offer/First Come First Served" sign on it.
Just because it is a mystery to YOU doesn't make it unexplained.

Depends on who you ask.
I preferred Angel.

Buffy and Angel only got to where they were, due to Whedons sarcastic / pop culture references. I don't think anyone can bring a Vampire Slayer to the same light, if it does not include Joss Whedon.
And why name it "Buffy" again, and go on about it being in a different time. Makes little sense, but again, they should leave it be. They'll tarnish the name.

The first film came out in 1992. So 17 years not long enough? It's based on the first movie, not the t.v series in any way.

Hell yeah. This movie is bound to cop a whole load of flak.

The original movie didn't get that dark. Which like I said, is what this is about. It has nothing to do with the tv series.

And yes, Angel was far better than Buffy, until that last crap-tastic season.
Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity.

I think they need to change the character dramatically so she isn't lame and cheesy... Like ditch the whole 'I'm just a ditsy blond cheerleader' etc. Make her more of a serious character this time etc.
If they try to make the movie as non campy as they can, it could easily work as a new movie. With all the craze being vampire etc right now, this movie will get some serious bang at the box office.
