Definitely agreeing with you m8 With good writing, direction, and production it could be better than everything Buffy before this.

Well yes of coarse, I think a lot of movies would be better in this case. Alas, I lost my trust in Hollywood years ago....

I haven't seen this show but I've heard so many good things about it. I really loved Charmed and a friend of mine said that I would probably love Buffy as well. Here in Iraq the Iraqi store owners sell boxed DVD sets of popular shows with all the seasons and episodes, so I'm going to go tomorrow and pick up Buffy and give it a shot!!

Spike sucked. BRING BACK WES!! wub.gif
Fill your bowl to the brim and it will spill. Keep sharpening your knife and it will blunt. Chase after money and security and your heart will never unclench. Care about people's approval and you will be their prisoner.

Do your work, then step back. The only path to

They did, in Season 6 - comics - but he's a spirit still working for WolfRam & Heart.

Trust isn't the issue for me...

Hollywood's problem isn't that they are out of ideas for movies, it's that they are more interested in making money and will make whatever movies they think can do well. There are still a lot of good movies that come out originals, remakes and reboots...

In regards to reviving franchises or movies long forgotten by many of today's youth I think it's a good idea. Most movies pre 1990 really don't stand the test of time because people and times change. Some movies though do hold up like Star Wars ep4,5,6 etc.

If you want to find some really good gems old and new go browse through some DVD's etc... There are actually new movies that are good when they come out.

I haven't been following the comic, but I know that happened... Yay!! They should bring Doyle back now, as they could never in the show, because the actor died. And Lorne's actor just died of heart failure, too... sad.gif

Let me put it this way, I won't too surprised if this new Buffy comes out utter rubbish. That's what I meant by no trust. I honestly couldn't give a crap if they want to remake old movies, or shows. But I wont hold my breath on it coming out a gem either.

Yes, yes that's why there is more crap. I personally think a lot of movies today focus on graphic special effects, or gore and sex while putting the story second (If there is even much of a story). Of coarse Hollywood still produces the occasional good movies, but I think there becoming rarer. I still do see good movies, but there not usually Hollywood blockbusters.

Of coarse I'm speaking for myself here, not anyone else...

It couldn't be any worse then the first movie which let's face it wasn't the best and pretty cheesy. I agree though I wouldn't hold my breath and I don't about any movie cause they are all hit and miss. It's always been this way in Hollywood though.

There are a lot of movies that incorporate story with awesome rockin spfx, sex, violence etc... These things have always been a part of movies, while I will admit movie quality has fallen in the last decade or so there are still LOTS of fine movies that come out which are fun to see.

Likewise... When it comes to any form of art taste is determined by personal preference, no one person will like all the same art as the next.
