Well i agree about the shakey camera work.
Well i did find another image which i belive is a dead whale and proberlly died of cloverfield's bites.
Now since it lived underwater im guessing it started attacking people thier.
1) There is a spolier where the monster attacks an oil rig, somewhere in Japan or China.
2) Maybe the oil tanker came from thier and the monster followed it to NY.
3) The tanker slowed down and the monster attacked it.
Between 2 and 3 miltary get notified of a huge creature heading towards Manhatton and send out attack helicopters.
4)Creature comes out of the water and goes through buildings.
Well i think that's how it came to be.

I'd like to see another Cloverfield movie, just as long as Rifftrax covers it.

I really enjoyed the first Cloverfield, would be interesting to see what they'd do with a sequel.
Not sure i'd want to see the same events again from a different perspective, i'd rather learn a bit more about the creature and see it and perhaps some more of them as well in a different setting.
