If you go to the first link in the OP. The thread the "slender man pics" are on is a thread were you can create FAKE PICTURES. The slender man is a fake, someone just photoshopped a picture and added a fake story.

It is always good that when you are referring to a site always look the credibility of the site and also that post only what is rerquired to be read...Being intrested in this I hope you read the article in the OP link so when in future while posting big articles like this just add a brief description on what actually it is to avoid widespread criticisation.

why the Slender Man is BRILLIANT
1.It proves the weak-mindedness of people who see things and think: "That must be real because it scares me and I like getting scared!"
2. It shows how cryptid legends and urban legends can start clearly and decisivly.
3. It proves how people would rather believe in something fake then think rationally.
These are all idea's based upon independent "sightings" made by people who assumed the man was real, some are very humourous.

Thanks guys ;PI dunno, can you edit the OP so that you aren't quoting a thread about purposefully faking spooky pictures and also include the amateur YouTube videos above that are clearly poorly done fakes? It may take some time but we may never know.
