Yes, it really happened and I really had enough of such events.

False. After a week, you might have played with the piano, but it's highly unlikely you've played the piano. But if you say it was like that, then I count you as another proof for reincarnation. :D

Edit: forgot my statement...

I have climbed most of trees in the neighbourhood, because I had a cat that never mastered getting down from a tree.

True!

I could get even half way through Lord of the Rings.

Matty, I think what I saw in reality was a Sea-eagle... though they did have a 'stuffed albatross on board ship' sick I know... but it was before the days of 'conservation awareness'.

Lord of the Rings.... "True" if you are like me.... I got to the part in the book, where "this one begat that one, etc," and I got bored...."

You didn't leave a statement, so I'm going to trample all over your go and have my go instead. :D BTW, is there a LOTR hating club anywhere around here? :innocent:

I once had a very long and articulate conversation with an Australian about where, as a country, Australians "dig to". As in, when people say they're going to "dig to China"...

Formerly _Libby. Fancied a change!
Not going to be around much in the next week or so. Exams- boo!

And I would have stayed up with you all night,

LOTR hating?! You are making little hobbits cry...

True.

Some 15 years ago, I was asked for the umpteenth time in the same day if I carry any weapons, so I replied: yes, my teeth. They were not amused.

Yes, it’s true. But it wasn’t related to music, sadly, I was getting in and out of certain public building and I got tired of same people asking the same thing in deadly serious tone, regardless of the fact they know my name, address, position… and probably shoe size too. It was just… childish. So was my later habit of going through the metal detector on my way out, ringing all the way. too many keys, lighters, pens and other junk in my pockets.

It’s true, but it was an accident. I hope it was... ;)

I just saw big truck with some kind of monstrous hydraulic machinery mounted on it, richly decorated with white ribbons and flowers.

Unfortunately it is true.. and yes, it was accidental!

I think yours has to be 'false,' cause its too surreal!!

(ps Helen, you do know I posted on your poem 'Cathedral,' but in the UM "transition" it was lost? I got pissed off about the "groovy new lay-out and how everyone was "lets lick the MOD's asses over it" I didn't re-post... I lost a perfectly good poem myself, in the lovely new lay-out move...)

I was once so close to a bomb that exploded that I lost my memory for 4 - 5 hours.

Nope, it’s true. And surreal to the bone.
Let me explain: one of my young neighbours is going to “steal” the bride, according to old custom but with modern twist. Since this truck is his pride, joy and source of income, he decided to bring his bride home in it, instead of car or carriage. This is why it’s decorated with fluffy white stuff and flowers. The best part is, she has no idea what kind of transportation is heading her way. LOL I hope she likes it, it has rotating orange lights too.

Thanks for posting on my Cathedral, I wasn’t sure whether to repost it but since I rarely like my own poems, I couldn’t let Murphy’s laws eat that particular one. Did you see my post on your - perfectly good indeed - poem? Just in case you didn't, I think I got the meaning of it. Speaking of which, you know I'm here and willing to participate if that lid pops up again.

I hope yours is false. If it’s true, I’d like to strangle idiot responsible for the blast.

I fell through the roof once.

I bet you did.. but you survived!!!

Mine is true.. bad days in Belfast long ago...

(ps.. did see your response, thank you; my wee brick!xo)

My Aunt had a block of wood that spontaeously combusted but didn't burn out and a local cleric told her to place it back on the hillside it came from.

Surprise, I didn’t! I’ve been on many roofs (this sounds insane) but I have never fell through one. I watch my steps, unlike some people in my house :P

I say it’s true.
If it is, is there more about that hill? Sounds interesting.

I chased a fox with a broomstick once.
(It was not “a fox with a broomstick”, but “chased it with a broomstick”. Just to clear that up.)
