right, where do i start?

Someone mentioned "1408"?
thats not scary!!!! there is one part thats a little jumpy but it's far more disturbing than scary

SOmeone else mentioned the shining,,,, Grow up! thats the least scary movie ever!!!!!
Oh, he's got an axe and has went a little bit mental!! So what?

Anywho,,,,, someone mentioned Quarantine and/or [REC]
YES YES YES!!!!
Utterly spine chilling!

Also, I can't believe no one has mentioned the decent!?!
the single most jumpy film ever!

also, if it's creepyness your looking for, look no further than the orphanage!
It's Spanish and from the same dude as pan's labarinth (also awesome!)

the dawn of the dead remake is pretty scary (the start is,,, it tends to trail off after about half an hour!)

OH, I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT!!!!!!!
28 days later!!!!! 28 weeks later!!!!!
WOW!!!!

if you havn't seen them,,,,,,, get them both watched!!!!

Anywho,,,,, sorry about the rant,,,,,,

Peace out!

28 Days Later? Scary? No. Good movie? Okay. ...Ish. That Murphy boy was cute, and it's the only good one in the franchise.

Quarantine? Noooot scary. Not even very good.

The only movie I can think of being a bit scary that I've seen is The Mist. Because religious zealots are bleeping scary. Never mind the crazy fourth-dimension monster things. Also, the ending is scary depressing.
Fill your bowl to the brim and it will spill. Keep sharpening your knife and it will blunt. Chase after money and security and your heart will never unclench. Care about people's approval and you will be their prisoner.

Do your work, then step back. The only path to
serenity.

The Exorcist was really scary the first time I saw it, especially that head turning around scene.

When I was a kid that Trilogy of Terror Zuni doll attacking Karen Black was scary, but now when I watch it I just laugh...

Funny Games(remake) was definitely an eerie and depressing movie. Never seen the original.
