I just watched the original ending on youtube, Ive gotta say that it's alot more logical and realistic and I feel like it would have worked well in theaters rather then

Yeah, maybe more realistic, but wouldn't have gave me near the heart attack the other did.

Theres another.
Spoiler

I like the original the best, seems the most real.

I've seen the original and theatrical ending. Wasn't all that impressed with either, to be honest. The first is realistic but too understated given what's happened, and the second is just a slasher ending really...
Spoiler

The other one sounds interesting though. That would get my vote.

I thought it was boring. Half the stuff I've had way scarier happen to me, and then the ending was just over the top. I laughed through most of it. When they saw the attic door was opened I immediatly thought Gary Busey was hiding up there. My link

I think people who are really interested in the paranormal have become desensitized to the stuff, might be scary to someonne whos never seen or heard of things like this

This movie was too slow for me. I kept waiting for something to happen and the only thing that happened was the bedroom door opened by itself..big wow! I quit watching about 30 mintues into it.

Well, just finsihed watching it. The setting was perfect. I start downloading it right at 12:00am Halloween morning. It downloads in 20 minutes, and I debate watching it or not. I get too scared and decide not to. Then around 1:30am I decide to watch it. Alone, lights off, I watch it...

LETDOWN! Wow, what a relief. I finished it a bit ago and it's now 3:30am, still alone with no lights. Also not the least bit frightened or disturbed. And I was just terrified waiting for something to happen every time in the movie when the night-time bedroom footage began. And I was relieved each time they were over when everything that happened failed to scare me. I've had more startling and scary moments watching The Grudge...

And not sure which ending I saw (original or theatric), but I'll look on YouTube or somewhere on the net and see if I can find the other ending. But I'm not expecting much...

The whole movie failed to give any interesting story to it, and therefore failed in my opinion. Just an hour and a half of build-up that failed to deliver. Jeez, I didn't even see the scary thing I saw in the trailers (I'm guessing that's in the other ending). Everyone who claimed this movie is the scariest in a long time obviously get scared way too easily. This wouldn't even be in my top 20.

Hope The Exorcist is on tonight... sigh... <_<

*edit* - Oh, and pea, don't be scared. Gary Busey will tell you: *Gary Busey voice* "There's nothing to be afraid of. You know what "fear" is?
False Evidence Appearing Real."

One subtle part I didn't catch that several people I've talked to also missed is when she's in the bed saying, "we're going to be okay now" or something like that is

I didn't think it lived up to the hype at all. . .maybe I should have seen it in the theater. . .maybe then it would have been scarier? I don't know. . .I just don't find ghosts very frightening. Even the other ending didn't really get me too much. I was just so excited about this movie because I thought that finally after all these years someone had finally made a decent horror movie. *sigh* Maybe I built it up too much in my head. I think I should have learned my lesson about watching these indie horror films that everyone swears by after the ordeal that was DeadGirl. I lost 101 minutes of my life on that atrocity. I'll give Paranormal Activity some props, it was a lot better than that piece of crap. Now. . .if it had been a gem of a zombie movie.. .then I'd probably be terrified out of my mind. . .but there hasn't been a great zombie movie in a while either. I do, of course, have some friends that would be out of their mind with fear with this movie because they're frightened beyond belief at the very thought of a ghost. Maybe those are the types of people they've been interviewing that talk about how scary this movie is.

One movie that I'm dying to see, since these last two didn't deliver what I expected, is Trick R Treat. I only got to see a bit of it. . .Up until the point where I find out the psycho principal has the same name as my boyfriend. . . He seemed like he had the same hatred of overweight people that my b/f has too. :w00t: I haven't ever been able to finish it. . .but it seemed promising. Not scary in a conventional way, but scary in a disturbing way. . .Even the little bit that I watched left me weirded out.

i saw paranormal in the theaters and thought it was an ok movie. I'm usually a scardy cat (peeping from behind a pillow or my hands) when watching a horror. Surprisingly this one I had none of that going for me. Maybe it was everything that i had expected from a paranormal type of thing cameras and what not.

Other movies are just plain creepy with the pale ghostly figures.
