This season's chess tournament has now drawn to a close and its been a good one - a big thank you to everyone who has taken part this time around.

Karlis has come out on top this year - congratulations to you. :tu:

Tiggs has come in a respectable second, well done to you too.

Third and fourth place will be between myself and Paranoid Android pending the outcome of a decider.

Once again a big thank you to everyone who took part and if you didn't get a chance to play this season then keep an eye on the events board for the next one. ;)

I enjoyed playing all the games, and thanks for your well-wishes Tiggs. I didn't think I would end up with top points in the tournament -- I thought/hoped I would do well to come in somewhere near third place when we started. This is about the only competition in which I have ever come first.

Thanks to everyone,
Karlis

I followed this years events with great interest.

It was a close contest right up to the final game.

John, which would you pick as the "best- most interesting"
three games in the tournament? And why?

Just a thought to consider,
Karlis

Sorry if I implied I was evaluating the game play itself. The particular contest at the end between PA and you self was the clincher. If you tied, then Tiggs and you would be co winners. I had a very hard time with PA when I played him so it was reasonable that you could have lost that game. Then naturally Tiggs would have been the champ.

I myself am involved with other projects. I love the game but can not devote the attention it requires to play well.

Congrats Karlis, Tiggs, Saru, and PA. I hope we can do this again next year.
