first of all
I'm not a werewolf, if that's what you're looking for, to skewer me and be all, "WHERE'S THE PROOF?!?!?" you can leave now.

i have had an actual, PHYSICAL problem. It started about when I was 9. Ever since then i've actually gone into heat every month and sometimes i'll wake up clawed up. One of my therapists said it was a multiple personality disorder, but i don't have another personality, just something that's a part of me that i've tried to keep hidden because i thought they would lock me up. I'm trying to get in touch with the local wiccan priestess, but as she was away on a vacation, because it's gotten worse recently and i've been breaking down and me and my friends have actually formed a pack. People avoid us because we act different, i know some people who have the same problem as me, three of them being men, and together we've been able o keep pretty safe.

I want help, cause i'm sick of feeling dizzy, and breathing hard and getting clawed up. no, i don't claw myself (nor do i cut myself or any other of that emo stuff), and as to the heat, i don't even have to tell anyone, and the afore mentioned men above go crazy around me.

so, if someone could help. If you critize, you can just go......*Snip* (because if i spelled it the proper way they'd censor it >>)

***Mod Note:Trying to get around the profanity filter will get you censored too. Profanity is profanity. Keep in mind that this is a family friendly forum. Thank-you.

I don't know what to tell you Sweetcheeks but I would strongly advise against any Wiccan priest or priestess as involvement with persons of this ilk may be the very reason you are suffering. I would sooner recommend a hypnotherapist familiar with lycanthropy. I beleive you have a problem but you may be feeding into it and giving it strength by associating with this "pack." As far men going wild around you, I have been around women in heat who were exuding phermones and it drove me nuts, often they were just average looking but still had a huge effect. However you need to take an objective look at how you behave when you feel you are in heat. Do you dress or act more ****ty, is there anything in your actions you do that may provoke an enhanced reaction from men while you are in this state? Be careful my friend, you don't want to attract a wolf.

the scratching is the only thing I feel I really can comment on as a long time night scratcher myself, some nights I will scratch my scalp often to the point it bleeds I keep my nails short but it helps a bit and I should really ware gloves but.... well I dont want to and I know I already have scars up there (and I just hope I never go bald) its just something I do and have done for years there is apparently there is no known cause (altho it has been linked to stress but thats only in some cases of people who don't do it very much) or cure and alot of people just grow out of but some don't, it'll probably just be something you have to deal with, but things like short nails, gloves etc might help keep injury to a minimum

I also I would suggest u don't bother getting involved with wicca, altho the hypnosis is an interesting idea.

have you talked with your therapist about anxiety and panic attacks and it sounds like yo might be hyperventilating (breathing hard, feeling sick etc) which one of the causes of is panic attacks, which may or may not have any connection to the "heat" thing

just a random question (since u mentioned it happens on a monthly basis)does this have any bearing to your menstrual cycle (I assume your a girl from your user name)?

this "pack" could just be linked to a sense of belonging all outcasts together sort of thing

Lets be very clear and honest:
IF you had true multiple personality disorder, YOU LIKELY WOULDN'T KNOW IT.

I would watch out for the "aforementioned men". You being in heat would be a great excuse for them to get out of control...unless your OK with that, in which case, have a ball.

Thinking you are wolf like or feeling that way is not all that uncommon. Do some research, and you may discover you don't need to "join a pack" to feel a kinship with wolves/canines or other critters.

I'm assuming that you've already talked to your doctor about this to rule out any medical problems?

It would be wise to heed the words of your therapist.
When the unexplained happens, don't be so quick to jump to supernatural or paranormal conclusions. We live in a world where even the most bizarre of events has a completely natural explanation. Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

How strange that several people in your area have the same affliction. You say you want help? Going around in a group of people who refer to themselves as a 'pack', as well as calling yourself Queen of the Pack on these forums probably isn't going to help much. But of course, you won't care for this post as you have made it clear you only want to hear from people who will agree with you. In your own words I guess I'll just go... for criticising you.

In response to the order they were posted:

1. I don't think i dress ****ty, as i try not too, i wear normal sized tshirts and jeans...nothing too unusual, and no, like, the other day, we were sitting around having lunch, some of my girl friends were with us, and all of a sudden one of them started staring at me really hard then went to the bathroom...for a while >>

2. Not too involved with any religion, i just know the lady really well and she's someone i confide in, the hypnosis is a good idea, i wonder how much it would cost? (is broke), and i get panic attacks, and these are completely different. My panic attacks make me feel almost drunk, in a way (my ears and eyes become sensative and i get sick to my stomach), and again, yes, i have noticed that it happenes between my periods, the reversal of what being in heat for an animal really is...(is girl)

3. as for the multiple personalty disorder, i meant i don't have any blank spots, or feel like i'm forgetting things, and such, then again, there is always the great posibility that i do have another personality, or such,. haven't ruled it out, just don't believe it as much...

4. yes, and besides a history of diabetes and irratable bowel syndrome, there's nothing "physically" wrong with me, that the doctors can see.

5. as for you, "Frank," you weren't the kind of person i was excluding, i was refering to some people who i noticed as i was reading through other topics where they would openly yell and be extremely rude to the person, i don't have a problem with objections (who knows, maybe i'm goign insane and developing schitzophrenia?) i just don't want to be called freak or stupid or such, it's just not.....nice. and as to the "Pack business" it wasn't actually my idea, some of my friends got into the Anita Blake books about a month ago and as I'm the "Mommy" of the group, they put me in charge, the boys and i had already had this problem (since towards the end of high school) and they got dragged into the "pack" thing as well.

I stopped reading once I read the word "wicca".

As for "i don't have another personality, just something that's a part of me that i've tried to keep hidden because i thought they would lock me up". There are a few possibilities.

1) You DO have a second personality and you either don't recognize it or won't admit it.

2) You're possessed by a demon that likes to claw you up every now and then.

3) You're just plain crazy.

I mean, you're really not helping the matter much. You refer to your group as a "pack", and then give yourself the title of "Queen of the Pack". This, to me, says you have some kind of mental imbalance that leads you to think you're part wolf or something along those lines. Rather unhealthy, psychologically. You should find a good psychologist and attend a few therapy sessions, and see if that helps.

I agree with the post above. My friends and I have always considered ourselves a "pack" simply because we are so close and if someone messes with one of us, they bring down the wrath of the whole group instead of the individual. As for you Queen of the Pack, I don't know. I have feelings of being a wolf sometimes or I even have wolf like tendencies, but I don't even attempt to explain it really. Psychics and shamans have always seen the spirit of a wolf accompanying me. My aniaml totem is a wolf as well. Sounds crazy when through it all I am a Christian too. But I realize there is more to this world than what God has told us and I remain open minded. However, I would consider the possibility of possession. It may not even be a demon. The Native Americans believe that a person could become possessed by the spirit of an animal too. I know from personal experience too that if you act contrary to what the mainstream society considers normal, there will always be people who will consider you strange or a freak. You just have to be happy with yourself and not pay attention to those who are afraid of us that are "outside the norm".
There's something bad behind me, isn't there?

Have you heard of Therianthropy? Your best bet is to do a search on the forum or look at Google and type the word "therianthropy" into the search bar. Do you feel any connections to an animal in any special way? You only hint at wolves but you don't describe what exactly it is. What do you mean by "clawed up"? If it's true what you're saying about having formed a pack then maybe you and your friends can help eachother on this discovery.

I'm an RP therianthrope in a sense that other people enjoy. I was once a member of a pack of wolf-people many years ago, now the group has long since folded because we couldn't take part. RL more important than RP'ing!!!

The whole "Pack" crap, as said before, doesn't really cut you any slack towards the whole "lol imma wulvf" thing.
Not to say you are, of course. I'd hate to be the one to encourage any of that.

But, in regards to the scratches, perhaps you live near some really potent Poison Ivy without any knowledge of it. Otherwise, in all common sense, listen to your therapist. Once you come to terms with the whole "multiple-personalities" thing, it becomes easier to fight.
