or greatly dislike it and consider it mediocre and/or terrible, which paranormal
themed nonfiction and/or fiction books you greatly admire, would you love
seeing get film adapted (in a film that'd have actors in it), as you'd find it
way more compelling than the PA film's story.
It doesn't matter if anything mentioned is either a supernatural drama, thriller,
horror, comedy, or action film and please elaborate on what the story is about
and why you admire it so much.

I can't think of any off hand... But on this topic, I was surprised at how well "The Mothman Prophecies" translated to film... has anyone seen this movie? It's actually kind of creepy and scary and well worth watching if you haven't...

It's not really a direct translation of the book to the screen - if you watch it expecting to see a monster you will be out of luck... But it is a movie you shouldn't watch alone in the dark... And I am not normally a big fan of Richard Gere (Being neither a female nor gay) but he does a really good job in his role in that movie...

Title sounds stupid, but it is pretty messed up. The book is more of an actual biography of the place and the people involved, and is all true. But, I think the story would make a great movie.
What is even freakier, is when I was in my late teens, I went on my first ghost hunt at this place. We were supposed to spend the night after the bar closed, but due to some local gang rivalry, were forced to leave by the cops. However, I did not read the book until after this. After reading the book, I couldn't believe that I was actually going to spend the night there!! What was also cool, is the main character from the book, Carl I think it was, was the one who gave me and my friends a tour around the place before the cops made everyone leave.

It alternated between good and then some parts I found were excruciatingly slow and painful to sit through *shrug* loved the book, the movie was ok.

Good call. What they did with his Book of Blood was pretty decent as a movie, as well.
