Okay.. I had this dream not long ago..

I was watching myself sleep, I was in a dark room.. Almost like a cabin type feel. There was an old man in front of me, he was at his study, lamp on and writing something.
Then out the window there was this man.. I can't really remember what he looked like, I couldn't really see him but I got the impression.. he was.. 'dark' and 'evil' and out to get me.
Every time I inhaled I saw the old man scene, I felt safe and protected when I saw him and every time I exhaled I saw the 'dark' man, I felt scared and on edge.

I have no idea what this dream means or is, it could be my imagination, but when I did wake up I felt very insecure, I had to take deep breaths to calm myself and even had to look out the window to make sure the man wasn't there, but when I did wake up I felt the need to shout at the Old Man to warn him about something, but I don't know what.

I know I'm not crazy, and I wouldn't usually post something like this up, but it has been bothering me lately. Do you think its a message or a normal dream?
Even a man who is pure of heart
And says his prayers by night
May become a wolf when the wolfsbane blooms
And the autumn moon is bright.

Maybe a big dream in Carl Jung's sense. Try the search string "big dream" jung and see what you think.

You probably want to write it up while it's fresh. If you draw or paint, then maybe do that, too. If it is a big dream, then you'll be thinking about it for a while (as in years from now, possibly). So, you'll be glad to have a good record.

You might want to look into archetypal dream characters, too. "Wise Old Man" and "Shadow" might be good ones to start with, based on your report.

I am not too sure about the Wise Old Man, BTW. There's not a lot of plot, and usually he does the talking, not the dreamer. But it's a place to start. And if he were that character, then that rhythmic alternation between his positivity and the other character's creepiness is very nice.

Anyway, there's nothing worrisome about what you posted.

Disclaimer: I don't interpret other people's dreams, but some dream motifs and characters are dreamt by many, many people, and I sometimes recognize those motifs and characters. I can tell you what several of the people who have dreamt dreams like yours have thought about their dreams, but only you can decide whether that has anything to do with your personal dream.

The thing is no one did any talking, it was just that scene over and over again while I was exhaling and inhaling, scared the hell out of me, and I doubt I will forget this dream.

I do sometimes get crazy dreams but depends what you call scary and I have no idea about eating late. But this dream scared me for some reason and I have no idea why and lately its been bugging me and was wondering if people thought I was over reacting or if it could have a possible meaning.

Hmm, first off do you know about lucid dreaming? Astral Projection?

Was the dream like a lucid dream where you could control what you were doing, or was it a video?

As for astral projection. where do you live? And how long have you? Because what you might have witnessed was a crime older than you are especialy because your senses told you to warn the old man.

I'm saying this because what you might have seen was the past, but you lived in it by astral projecting, it all depends on how much you knew you were watching yourself dreaming/laying because you might have seen someone else... Do some research about your area and try and gues the atire or what the people were waring, then see the time that that was in style, then gues at the year you might have been in, then look at the papers in your library.

Hope this helped some.

Maybe it symbolizes seeing the good and the bad in someone, no one is good or evil but everyone is a little of both, like Obi Wan said, only a Sith deals in absolutes  :)

I had a dream where I was falling in complete darkness and at the bottom was a candle with a blue flame. I was actually more afraid of the flame than I was hitting the bottom. So I spread my legs to avoid it. When I hit the bottom I woke up in a cold sweat running a high temperature. The flame defintly meant my fever.
