(didn't know where to put this thread, so just stuck it here since it has to do with a theoretical future)


Aliens vs. Ghosts. These two subjects deal with two of the biggest questions most of us probably ask: Are we alone in the Universe? What comes after death? (assuming you think ghosts were once alive). If there was 100% proof of aliens or ghosts, which do you think would be a bigger discovery for the world?

It's a hard decision for me personally. I've always found ghosts a fascinating subject and have investigated a couple abandoned hospitals/sanitariums and seen some strange stuff. But I feel like if aliens were found to be real (i.e. intelligent like us, not plants on mars or w/e) then the world as we know it would change.

So what do you guys think?

blindchicken11, I think revealing the aliens would be more important. I think the PTB have been getting us ready for that for several years now. I doubt if very many people would be too surprised to find out offically that aliens had been with us for awhile. In my opinion, ghosts, shadow people, etc are more a curiosity than a concern.KennyB

Yeah true. I would be satisfied if either were proven true.

I think Aliens would actually top the list for me just because an acknowledgement of Alien life opens us up to the rest of the Universe and that's a huge deal! And if validation of an afterlife is on people's mind's...I, personally would rather see tangible proof there is a Heaven...not ghosts! Who wants to die and be a ghost? The paranormal defintely peaks my curiosity...but I have longed to have real proof of aliens. I just hope proof comes along before I'm old and gray!

I think Ghost would be the biggest because then we would have proof that life after death exist, and it would make ita lot easier for those grieving loved ones or fearing death themselves. I would be thrilled to know that we don't just cease to exist after we die!!

I tend to be a little more pragmatic, and don't really measure the importance of something based on how many warm fuzzies it gives people. Determining the existence of aliens would be interesting, but limited. Unless we actually have our hands on a piece of alien technology, it would be little more than an interesting zoological discovery.

Discovery of ghosts, on the other hand, would open up a brand new field of science for us. It would not only allow us to begin the exploration of a new type of reality, it may well open up more field in our reality, such as the ability to astral travel to other locations, or even planets.

My vote is for ghosts.

Just for the scientific reasons , energy etc. But i don,t know if either are real Ghosts would just be more interesting.

And you could ask Ghosts about history

It would be ghosts. Most people agree that life probably exists elsewhere within our own galaxy so eventually the meeting between humans and life forms elsewhere will happen. Ghosts on the other hand would show us something that may happen after we die that was not even conceived by the scientific community.

it would be ghosts. as ET life is to be expected in our universe, and quite widely accepted.
ghosts on the other hand seems quite unlikely, as nothing backs it up. so it would be ghosts.

This would be good except, how do we know ghosts wouldnt lie? Plus it seems to me that it would take a while since most EVP's are typically 4 words or less. Would they remember where they left off in the next contact so you could piece it all together.

I agree with ghosts as far as creating a new scientific study.


My vote is definetely for aliens. As stated above it would open up a zillion more questions and would be nice to have some of the answers we seek.

Easy answer. Ghosts. We know there is alien life out there somewhere, as someone said earlier, it would be similar to finding a new species on earth. Ghosts would unveil more questions and possibilities.
