From - CNN

A 6 year old girl died in West Covina Saturday morning after a 32-inch television fell on her while she was playing with her younger siblings, police said.

The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. in a home in the 600 block of South Gaybar Avenue, near Cameron Avenue, according to West Covina police Lt. Tommy Garcia.

The girl was apparently playing with her siblings, ages 1 and 3, in the living room while the children's grandmother was in the kitchen.

The television was accidentally dislodged from the table it was resting on, falling on the girl, Lt. David Rozeboom said.

Ufo your link doesn't work. It says page could not be found. From this it looks like it was an accident. Why is it in True Crime?

It could be one of those newer flat screen TVs. They are much less stable than the old TVs.
They can easily fall or be knocked over, especially by young children playing in the room.

When I go to heaven, I hope to find out if all the people I gave directions to made it to their destination.

Sounds like the grandmother was baby sitting the kids.
Grandma's in the kitchen, and the kids are playing. The tv gets knocked over, and lands on the young one.
Doesn't take to long for a kid to be crushed. If it's a tube tv, a 32 inch one would be plenty big and heavy to crush her.
as for where were the parents, my folks would often have our older sister or grandparents or uncle watch us when either they were out of town on business, or at the hospital or something. There's no need to try to paint the parents as bad parent.

If you can’t take a bloody nose, go home and crawl under your bed.
It’s not safe out here. It’s wondrous,
with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross…
but it’s not for the timid.

well if it landed on her head then it would be over quick. i have a 20 inch in my room and if it fell on my head i would at least be knocked out if not worsei guess this is more like a tragic accident

Sounds like an accident a bad accident. Many moons ago I broke a t.v. I was younger than six. My folks thought it wise to put the t.v. with rabbit ears on a trolly thing with wheels(castors) on it. I guess I decided to use it as a walker and when the cord ran out down came the t.v. I don't remember but my mom sad it sounds like a bomb went off and I sceamed and cried till we got a new T.V. LOL

How could you not look? It was like a (well) orchestrated train wreck !

no you might not hear a tv fall if its fall was broken by a soft human body.

a tv on anything can kill depending what it fell on, like her head.

it is stories like this that keep me from watching the news.
all are loved. except me. even god hates me.
