Daniel: Please read the above again. Continue to read it until you realize what is so hopelessly wrong with your statement.

sqlserver since you cannot dream. you shouldn't be telling me to read what you wrote.

i understand as does everyone else on this site. that this planet or anyothers are not alive, from our perspective and rules.

but as i said this is a what if thread. open your mind to the possibilities.

I have another question could energy be alive and the physical just be a shell as the klingons think
all are loved. except me. even god hates me.

To be quite frank, do not start " BUT WHAT IF X met the definition of Y????!!11" threads in the "Science and Technology" forum.
What is the point of this thread: To wonder what would change if we changed the definition of "Life" to fit the characteristics of a planet? I can answer this question, and it is:
The meaning of the word life would change.
That's it.

no the question was and is do we have an open enough mind to change the definition should it become clear that it needs to be changed. and it is obvious that you do not have an open enough mind to change.

this is the best place for this thread. it is all about science. before anyone can change anything someone has to propose a hypothesis.

no humans are not trying to kill it. the worse that can be said is that we are killing it through neglict. understand i do not believe this. do we need to change things yes. do we need to decrease our pollution yes. are we killing the planet no. and most of you who believe that man is part of nature shouldn't be thinking that either. nature isn't going to kill itself. and mass extinctions are part of the planet. with mass extinction room is made for the next mass evolution.
all are loved. except me. even god hates me.
