Forum guidelines

To be Frank lol I'm actually Jeff Scientology isn't or is not a religion, it's worse! A cult oh ya, dangerous? oh ya same coin different angle, yet the same ideology. We are right and you are wrong so here are our rules :rolleyes:

Why the hell would anyone believe in Scientology in the first place.

You know something is messed up when your religion was founded by a BLOODY SCIENCE FICTION WRITER.

Yeah it was a good video. I tried to find a video from the south park episode about scientology, but I couldn't find it.
If you can watch that episode, it is really eye opening. They actually show what scientologists believe.

It boggles the mind how some people can actually buy into such nonsense.

EXACTLY!!!! That's what I say! Not to mention an author who said that the best way to make money was to start a religion. I know the church denies that, but I think he really did say it. I can't wrap my mind around it! My brain actually refuses to comprehend the actions of the CoS followers. . .and I feel bad for that because I generally try to make myself understand other peoples motives.

I don't understand how they condemn psychology, yet the very base levels of their program is just very basic psychology. . .

And yeah, it totally ruined Chef for me too. . . I can't even watch South Park episodes with him in it any more without becoming baffled.

I did however read on one of the anti-CoS sites that the celebrity version of Scientology was different from the "normal" persons. . .because celebrities are high profile and attract attention and church followers (which leads to more money) and they don't want to scare the celebs off with the crazy stuff.

One psychological aspect to take note of if one wishes to try and understand the CoS's succes is that they borrowed from religions that stood the test of time so to speak.

I for excample took note that while older religions say "What are your sins?" The CoS's says "What are your crimes?"
