I'm pretty sure Al Gore is solely responsible for climate change.

I would say he's one of many sources of climate changing hot air. (just kidding)

Al's a smart guy and a savvy investor, even though he's a politician. You can bet the bank he's going to capitalize on the climate change issue.

I don't know, can we keep burning things and not expect the temperature to rise?
Just a thought I had.

and after what was it 6 years of crying over the fact that he lost. he then turns his attention to the environment. one has to ask how much money is in it for him. he probable is asking the samething.

He was working on environmental issues while he was in office with Clinton (If you don't know, this was before the Gore-Bush election), so no he did not change his focus 6 years later.

i thought bill gates retired like 5 years or so ago. if so then he didn't invest in vista.

Bill Gates could have retired 20 yrs ago. He is still heavily invested in Microsoft, why wouldn't he be?

How could you not look? It was like a (well) orchestrated train wreck !

  • Always keep looking up...the truth is out there.

    Why shouldn't we believe?

I'm still looking for the truth...when I find it, I'll post it.

There's something about Gore that I don't get. Why does he just keep going and going with this crap.

Off topic, Perdition, cute kitty.

Michelle, the point of the article is essentially:
"GORE IS EVIL BECAUSE HE HAS SO MUCH MONEY AND IS ONLY DONATING A LITTLE!!"
If this is not an outright attack on Gore, I don't know what is.

I thought you were a skeptic.

And that, I think, is what raises eyebrows for many of those who are skeptical of climate change legislation. I'm not skeptical of climate change in and of itself, I'm skeptical of the solutions that we have been given by our politicians. I don't much trust the idea of someone creating a commodity out of thin air like they plan on doing with carbon credits.

It's kind of like when the big oil companies' scientists and research debunking it is dismissed automatically.

It also sounds a bit like insider trading when you think about it.

Well... yeah. I wouldn't say completely debunking, but definitely raising some questions. I don't know, it has an... agenda feel to it. Its not as clear cut, to me, as something like creationism v. evolution. The best creationists ever came up with was intelligent design, and I can look at that in comparison to evolution and I see a clear difference. When I look at contradicting statements in the debate on climate change, the answers aren't as clear. Add a political agenda...

I just don't trust everything I hear about this. I'm sorry, I just have some serious concerns with the legitimacy of this whole thing. Al Gore made a lot of money off of this. Its just things like that raise a couple of eyebrows.

My sentiments exactly. I'm not denying planetary warming, but I am skeptical of the cause and the solutions presented by our politicians.
