What I Truly Like

Honesty is the first, on this long list,
with true Empathy conjoined, and attached
.
Seflessness is key, does one get the gist?
Then their is Friendship, it cannot be matched.

Our Children's genuine Innocence,
plays the most massive, caring part.
They really come first, in every sense,
isn't it time, we gave them a 'fresh' start?

Nature presents, 'Her' most wondrous of shows,
Sunrise and Sunset, pink-gilded beauty.
The Sun, Moon and Stars, reflect 'Mother's' glow,
the Dawn shines anew, this, is 'Her' duty.

Wind, soft-rippling waves and Golden Beaches,
lift, 'elevate', our very own souls.
Great and Small, I love these Creatures,
Trees, Flowers and Clouds too, impart their 'role'.

Thunderstorms booming, arcing with lightning,
both thrill, bedazzle, my every nerve.
Magnificent they are, not frightening,
adding to my life, such tremendous verve.

What I truly like though, for Thee and me,
is Peace, Love, and the sweetest Harmony.

Thank you greatly pumpkin_head. Posted Image I was trying to do a 'nice' one for a change one which is more my nature, as the last 3 have been a little depressive. I'm really glad that you liked it, thanks! Posted Image

edit: Oh Bugger!! I just noticed that I typoed selflessness incorrectly and it's too late to edit....damnit!! Posted Image )

Clubby, you ought to know by now, I am all talk in that department; I'd do anything for recognition, EXCEPT bamboozle a wonderfully written, heart-felt verse from a genuine Artist.

Big hug.Posted Image

What a lovely comment Misty, thank you so much!

*heartfelt hugs returned*

P.S. please note that I also wrote more than 14 lines, as a secondary defense measure...............against getting bashed...........just in case! Posted Image

Thank you Still Waters, I meant every word of this one too, I didn't, 'make any of it up'. Posted Image

Genuine friendship is more precious than gold or any jewel, in my opinion, it warms the heart and soul, money can't achieve that task. Posted Image

Thank you Voyager. I was a lot 'happier' writing this one than I was the 'women and men' poems.............much, much happier in fact! Posted Image

Very good qualities described here even though I kept hearing the song from the Romantics.
