A patent recently issued to an upstart space entrepreneur could be another sign that stealth satellites are real — not vestiges of the previous millennium’s battles.

In late 2004, right about the time that some U.S. lawmakers publicly unveiled a previously classified $9.5 billion program to build satellites that orbit the Earth undetected from the ground, Robert Bigelow, hotel entrepreneur and founder of Bigelow Aerospace, submitted a patent application for a satellite that proposed to do just that.

Do you think they might have read Patrick Geryl's book..or seen his interview here... :o

I have recently read Carl Sagan's novel 'Contact'...and I wonder if it
was his own personel mini-disclosure. I say mini...but it's dynamite...

When I read the bits about the rich people who lived in space 24/7...it made
me think...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I wonder if they have something planned like this
IN CASE 2012 etc etc happens. Patrick Geryl more or less put the damper on going
underground. Although in some places of the world...Australia? Africa? People
might give it a go.

I imagine the Space-Hotels are fully booked for 2012 ???? :w00t:

Hell, they don't believe something like this snap:

A touristy kind of shot, taken in December of 1972...

I cant see enough of those. Thanks for posting, MID.

*I believe thats the LRV to the left,.. Where was this taken? What is that big bolder behind the astronaut?

You're welcome Hazz!

That is indeed the LRV to the left of the picture.

You're looking at a Geologist in Heaven there, the only geologist to have walked on the Moon (and for really good reason), Dr. Jack Schmitt, taking his own pan of Station 6, on EVA 3 of Apollo 17, on the evening (EST) of Wednesday, 13 December 1972 (what a night that was...the last of 14 Apollo lunar surface EVAs).

They are parked just above the base of the slope of the North Massif, an almost 6300 foot tall mountain that bordered the north side of the Taurus Littrow Valley that they had landed in.

The rock is actually part of a cluster of large fragments that had rolled down the side of the massif long, long ago.

The one you're looking at was called "Tracy's Rock", named after Gene Cernan's 9 year old daughter, Tracy...

Some other views of same...

That looks like an astronaut fishing. :innocent:

Although the Apollo 17 landing site does look like an ancient sea-bed or lake????

PS. Could you put the catalogue numbers when you post images, please.

I just dropped on this image, as you do...when browsing through the Apollo 17 images.

http://history.nasa....sj/a17/a17.html

I'd put this one in the seriously 'fishy' catagory...ANOTHER shadow malfunction, IMO.

http://history.nasa....137-20869HR.jpg

Use link above...
Examine the shadows in the bottom area...the little 'rocks'?
The shadows are going in two completely different directions.
(and then there's the big one in the middle)

Could this be a 'whistleblower' contribution?

Frankly Bee, I have no idea on how to comment on your post. The aspects of which you speak have been adressed over and over again. It would suit you to do a bit of research on your own once in a while, although independent research seems like something you are trying to avoid as was it the key that would open the gates to Hell itself...

Cheers,

I'd say that your comment to me is a good example of avoidance.

The shadow question is NEVER going to go disappear.
It has NOT been successfully explained away.

The  is in the detail. And I presented an image that shows clear
inconsistences of shadow direction. IMO.

Not at all.

No, as long as ignorance persists, so will the shadow question I suspect.

Quote

It has NOT been successfully explained away.

Yes, it has. You just don't want to listen as it will explain away parts of your illusion. That said, may I ask you: have you never seen shadows pointing in different directions here on Earth on a sunny day in the park or on the street?

The devil is always in the detail. But before you speak of the details it would suit you if you actually understood said details.

Which is fine, however you are talking not only about things you do not understand, but also things you do not want to understand.

The 'shadow question' will never disappear as long as some people refuse to look at any explanation. It has been successfully explained many times...link to a good explanation courtesy of JayUtah at Moon Base Clavius.
