More and more, those old science fiction stories about robots doing all the dirty work while human beings could have a lot of freedom from drudgery is coming true!

I know a lot of old dairy farmers. I bet they never dreamed that some day a robot could handle all the duties of working with cows, including letting them herd themselves in to be milked by a robot!

Yes, I was kind of hoping for that too -- or at least, I pictured a humanoid robot walking around a farm yard carrying milk pales and pitching hay with a fork, maybe even whistling while it worked and tried to sweet talk the farmer's daughter.

But true robots today probably are nothing like what early SF writers could have expected.
