First of all, my deepest condolences. I want to suggest for you to get tested for lupus or any other auto immune disease because I'm not 100% sure if its genetic. Not just you, but your family as well. I think you can get tested by your family doctor or maybe a rheumatologist. As for info about Lupus, like i suggested, your doctor can provide you with all of that. For foundations and other info, search on google for Lupus foundations and there should be an official site for it and the latest news for treatments.
Recollect your thoughts don't get caught up in the mix

I'd like to add my condolences too; I just did a search and there were a number of sites regarding Lupus and the link to Lupus Foundation is below though, as Rice said, there are lots of other groups and resources to investigate.

a disease that attacks the nervous and immune system and such then disappears than comes back later and hits harder then leaves it just keeps coming until finally killing the infected person it destroys the kidney and you lose function of limbs becaues of stiffness as a side effect of lupus. basicaly its killing you very very slowly. my family member lived 20 years longer that she should have. til it killed her at age 44
