if my mind were any more open, what little gray matter i have would ooze out

Ahh, but you have remained close-minded to one very important possibility! Being open-minded works both ways.

Regardless, I can see the little lines in the picture now from home.

I'm not sure what we are supposed to be looking at. The white bits? They look like underwater bars. What part of it is city or base like?

That was what exactly I was begining to ask the same thing....Probable he thought it would be some old city that got washed away

Thanks

I think I can see what you're talking about. The..structures look like a maroon-ish color, right? Even if it's not a 'true underwater city', It's still quite interesting.

Edited OP's picture on photoshop...I think this is what he meant (look at the dark areas on the ocean, should be pretty clear now). Looks weird to me but I don't think it's anything special, probably just the result of file conversion or something.

the compression theory may be the answer, but again, i cant find this phenomema anywhere else in the world on Google earth, now, that being said, i also didnt go over every square mile of the map, so it may indeed be that. i just thought i should share.

Well neither have I, but rally, that is exactly what it looks like.
