It looks like the comfy place Christians have created with their imaginations is now reaping the worst imagined things of God.

the Chrsitians aren't the only ones responsible for this judgement, if we are truly receiving one....everyone has had a hand in this and if repentance is what you are preaching here then everyone must do so...read about nimrod in the old testament...

Man people like this bug me. I live in one of the best counties in the world and so do they, and it just seems like such a big slap in the face to someone whos living off a dollar a day to say that America, where the maker of that site lives, sucks when really we have it so good and we're very lucky

At every moment in history in every place on earth, bad bad bad things have happened. They are no worse now. They just seem like it because you are alive.
Very true. Plus whe have CNN so we hear about disasters as they happen. It used to take weeks, months, years, or even never to learn about earthquakes, hurricanes and other stuff like that. We live in a world of comunication. If Noah would have had the weather channel he would have known it was a local flood and wouldn't had bothered with such a big ark.

Considering that the U.S. has NEVER been a place where only rainbows and pink cuddly cotton balls happen, I doubt you could find one Christian in the U.S. or out of it who ever thought this was a "comfy" place.
"The repentance that really changes your heart and your relationship with God begins when you recognize that your main sin, the sin under the rest of your sins, is your self-salvation project.... Even diligent involvement in church and religion may need to be repented of once we understand that it was all a way to put God and others in our debt."
