No Doubt are taking legal action against the makers of the computer game 'Band Hero' for using their likenesses in their new game.

The band had signed a deal with computer game publisher Activision, but have claimed the company did not stick to the agreement.

No Doubt claim the band were only due to be playable characters performing three songs on the game, but the lawsuit says the band's avatars are playable in more than 60 songs.

This is the most ridiculous and yet hilarious thing I've read all day!
There is a theory which states that if ever for any reason anyone discovers what exactly the Universe is for and why it is here it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another that states that this has already happened. - Douglas Adams.

No Doubt isn't the first to sue Activision over this .. Courtney Love tried to do the same thing for using Kurt Cobains image in the same way. I believe she lost because she's a halfwit and didn't read the contract she signed that said Activision could use it for all songs. It remains to be seen if Activision really did break the contract with No Doubt.

I don't know that I find it hilarious or ridiculous. All these artists have is their "image and likeness" and their copyrighted songs. Their image is their business and they have a right to look out for how its used and who is making money off it.

It depends on the contract she and Activision have with each other... if they violated the contract, they deserve a right slap and owe her big time. If she didn't read or fully under stand the contract, she's poop outta luck. Pretty simple.

Well, I've always thought she kind of looks like a man... or at the very least, a drag queen. :P
