It's Obama's call. He had all the answers before the election. He hired McChrystal. If it's a no win situation he should send them home. He will get blamed not the generals, especially in his indecisiveness in making up his mind.

Maybe the 'protest' against the incursion will encourage him to bring the troops home...along with getting 'Jap slapped' by NBC...CBS...ABC....and all the other 'concerned' and caring groups

right :D

There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers.

  • Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival

I say give no quarter.

The political commentators are calling it "mission creep" expansion of a mission beyond its original goals, after initial successes. and this is exactly what has happened. to damn much political interference.

when we invaded Afghanistan it was to destroy terrorist training camps and disrupt al Qaeda.

lets be honest here Afghanistan is a right sht hole. home to a people who by and large have a 7th century mind set, with the tribal mentality.

the only place we should have occupied was the capital Kabul the rest of the country is worthless. holding just the capital would have enabled us to have less troops, achieve military objectives. and would have enabled us to leave the country much sooner. this nation building is the killer and a damn waste of money and more importantly lives.
