the only way you'll ever learn anything about wales is by watching rhod gilbert

or this :P http://www.youtube.c...h?v=kOZlJiOvXsU

not only is wales the most beautiful country in the world, it also has the most beautiful accent in the world, and probably one of the hardest languages to learn in the world

Rhod Gilbert cracks me up, his webbed finger comments get me every time.

Ummm no my accent is better.
But I can do a mean impression of a Welsh accent

My best memory, is standing ontop of a mountain top in the rain, smelling the damp earth and watching the rain clouds drape over the mountain peaks. Posted Image

I have a pretty similar great memory to that, except I wasn't completely wet through and it definitely wasn't in Wales :P

This is where I grew up my folks still live there and I love it there

I was a real cool town in Montana can't remember the name but there was an old minning camp close by and we went panning for gold there, it was awsome. Damn what was the name of that town errrr.

We have the same joke in Seattle... We claim that in order to prove your a true native, you have to show people your webbed toes and quacking like a duck should come naturally. LOL. We also don't tan... we rust.

This is another town I just LOVE. Although a lot of people would disagree with me. This is Cashmere Wa. It's nestled in the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains. The Wenatchee River winds through the town before it meets with the Columbia River, and it's nothing but wall to wall fruit orchards, vinyards, and an adorable old western downtown. It's not a tourist destination, it's a rural wide spot in the road more or less. I was in the south of France this summer and when I looked out at the beautiful countryside from a bluff I was on near Eze, I said to myself, "this looks a lot like Cashmere".

If you've ever had those horrible tasting fruit candies "Applets and Cotlets" this is where they are made (Tree Top Apple Juice is also made here) LOL

I've been to Naksup, it is GORGEOUS. But that whole area is breathtaking.

There are old mining camps all over Montana... the one I'm familiar with is near Libby MT.

Here's another place that should have made the list... Cannon Beach Oregon. Haystack Rock can be seen in the background... You always see pictures of Cannon Beach in inspirational calendars and as desktop wallpapers. It's a pretty famous location. It's about 1.5 hours driving south of Portland Oregon, on the Pacific ocean coast.

And, the infamous picture (one of) Haystack Rock.

Well, I think Rockport, Maine gets my vote out of all of those. Not that you can tell all that much from one picture.
I love you, Dr Johnson, and I want to have your babies...

I could never pick the most beautiful places because they are beautiful in their own unique ways. Except for deserts...with my fair skin I'm a shade hopper and absolutely miserable without any. :P

You and I both girl! I'm not a real fan of the desert either... I guess growing up in Western Washington did that to me. Doesn't help that I'm one White Bread pasty complected nordic girl. LOL.

I might make one exception... I LOVE a little place called George, Washington which really isn't much of a town... unless a BP gas station counts... but it's a vinyard (Columbia Winery) and concert venue. I LOVE this place. It's SO beautiful. But if I go to a concert there (and do a lot) I won't arrive without my special REI sun reflector hat AND my big black shade making umbrella. Last show I went to there, it was 115 degrees and I'd have DIED without those shade makers! LOL. This place is just breathtaking. You generally have to arrive 5 or 6 hours before the show starts to get a good place to sit, but those hours move quick because you can actually look at the scenery and butte, and river for that long and not get bored of it. I get giddy when I get to see an act here. LOL.

But of course! We didn't stay over... and we were in our moving hotels (motor homes lol) we were just passing through and stopped to walk to the dogs. It sure it pretty though. We were making our way up to 100 Mile House (another really beautiful area of BC) from Spokane WA... we took the long scenic route because we were 2 days ahead of schedule to be in 100 Mile House. Time to kill and Naksup was a nice place to kill 35 minutes! LOL

Trust me, you don't want to be near the part of the ocean I live close to!

Think less sand, more mud (and not the good kind), and less crystal blue waters, more murky grey. Not to mention the death toll(!)
