SAL:  Dear, there was always the Mars flight plan we had developed prior to your absence.

MID:  Yes, I've been thinking of that.  We're going to have to get together and review what we came up with.  As I recall, that was a logistical challenge, but it looked workable!

SAL:  It was, darling, but we'll re-assess and announce a plan.

MID:  OK, but let's sober up first...us humans that is!

SAL:  Indeed!

I can provide security against aliens, Bigfoot, Werepoodles and gluten-free Vampires with my pair of Colt Navy revolvers. Loaded with silver bullets, of course.
Or must I check them at the door?

My god! How that ghost makes me dread
My attempts to sleep at night, in my bed
All that moaning and groaning
Keep me awake until morning
Oh wait --- it's that couple next door, newly wed!

Shooting in flight...not a good idea.

Perhaps phasers set on stun would do the trick?  Posted Image

Oh yea...
The method of using our -Z engine outlets to thrust so 1 g was all you felt while heading out to the Moon and back was originally developed for the Mars mission.

It would make all aboard the fastest human beings to have ever lived...and 12 hours of 1 g burning would get us to Mars in a matter of days!

We're looking at the possibility of getting there at the 2012 opposition (March 3)in as little as three days!  Mars will be 62 million miles away then!

Feel like traveling a million miles an hour?

We'll look for the details of what we were proposing, before my absence and the craziness that went on while I was gone!

Mid to D, Mascots?
I'm wondering what you had in mind.

We're going to revamp ther pool area for storage and observatory work (Weather on Mars isn't conducive to swimming!  The Sun's pretty dim in the sky most of the time...and it's a bit cold!. Plus we need more tanking space for He-3).  We have three full sized rover vehicles, cargo handling equipment,  and you want mascots?

...if they don't eat people, you've got a few points in your favor early on!

Is Lilly not satisfied with the all-star band she's running now?
