Silent Hill is probly my favorite game series. I loved the 1st one. The atmosphere it created was second to none. I also have homecoming which was ok & the ps2 origins port which I haven't finished yet. Can't find 2-4 anywhere sadly. I wish konomi would release the silent hill collection in north america. It had silent hill 2(the special edition with some bonus stuff), 3 & 4 together for like $30.

Why do a remake? With no combat no less....And why climax studios again. The graphics & actually finding a copy of the original is the only bad thing about the 1st game. I could see them updating a few thing that could work better now control wise but this just doesn't seems necessary to me. The last few games have been sub par at best. Does the original team(team silent?) not want to do these anymore? Also why for the older gen consoles(Wii excluded of course) & not ps3 xbox360? This just stinks of trying to milk a series. I'd rather the original team made a fresh new contribution to the series & had the original/"improved" original game as an unlockable bonus or as DLC or something. I don't see how rehashing the original adds anything new or worthwhile to the franchise as a whole but it seems they are out of idea so this is all they can come up with.

Team Silent has been gone for years. And really, this doesn't seem like as much of a remake as it sounds. Homecoming has only been out for a half a year. Why would you expect another sequel so soon? I'm fine with this and I'm interested to see how it turns out. I just wish they would put it out for the other current gen systems.

SO apparently i'm going to be playing the new Silent Hill game soon on my... PS2. *blinks* Better blow the dust off.
Why not just release for PS3 anyway, even if it is a little sub par to what we'd expect from a brand new video game in this day and age.

I totally forgot Shattered Memories was coming out on PS2. That's...two new PS2 games this year that I'll be getting. That's very surprising.
