"Majestic 12" was supposedly a super secret organization assembled during President Truman's/Eisenhower's tenure (depending on whose scenario you subscribe to) whose purpose was to covertly implement a treaty with 'aliens'; they would be allowed to abduct civilians for research and study in exchange for their advanced technology. There are several threads on the forum that go a bit more into detail, just type 'majestic 12' into the search function.

Majestic twelve was also the official name of the directers of project bluebook (investigation of UFOs), and there were twelve of them

Yes. and MJ-12 also had annual reports and sister projects, such as the joheva project and project silver bug.
