New brain device melts in to place

A new type of brain implant has been developed that melts in to place and adapts to fit the brain's surface. The new technology will have a huge range of applications and can be used to help treat a number of conditions from controlling seizures to helping to transmit signals from the brain to bypass areas of a damaged spinal cord.

""These implants have the potential to maximize the contact between electrodes and brain tissue, while minimizing damage to the brain. They could provide a platform for a range of devices with applications in epilepsy, spinal cord injuries and other neurological disorders," said Walter Koroshetz, M. D. , deputy director of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), part of the National Institutes of Health. "

The new technology will have a huge range of applications...

They always promote such technology with such benevolent applications but much of this kind of tech has more insidious applications also. NO THANK YOU!!!

And so while we all oooh and ahhh in wonderment about the the science that will save us, we consider not the technology already modifying the synapses in our brains. Best to keep ourselves entertained and mystified than to consider the intrusions into our thoughts and lives already being served upon us, and served to us, and in delicious fashion, I might add.

God bless 'em! Keep up the good work folks. And don't worry, of course that voice in your head is your own. Isn't it?
