As to the title - 'overwhelming', was the word I chose because there are so many of these unexplained (except for ET) cases.
Perhaps I should have used a different word... Perhaps 'compelling' would have been a better word?

Nope, not your imagination. A lot of the threads, it's the same old skeptics vs. believers debates using the same arguments. Of course, it could be just that a lot of people are on holiday right now and not posting.....
