I had a very disappointing St. Patrick's Day.  I went with a friend to a local pub called The Irish Cottage, expecting that it would be insane and they weren't even playing Irish music. Not even U2 or the Chieftains or the Cranberries - I mean, come on!  I have an Irish friend that used to own a nice upscale sports bar and he used to put on a PAR-TAY every year - bringing in singers direct from Ireland as well as a bagpipe band. It was always a crazy scene and we had a few good years of this. Then his construction business took off and he didn't have any more time for the bar (it was just a hobby really) so he sold it. Total bummer! Anyway, this year's "adventure" got cut short because we were so pissed off about the lack of anything Irish at the Irish Cottage that we left and went to an organic burger place where I had an ostrich burger with curry ketchup. It was yummy!

Yesterday, I went took my dog to the beach (first time this year) and it changed from a beautiful sunny day to fog/mist rolling in off of the ocean. It was still beautiful...there was a random guy walking along the shore playing his bagpipes - I guess a leftover from Saturday? Anyway, it was a great day.

Hope you guys all had nice weekends too.

Hahaha, why can't stuff like that happen here?

We don't have any Irish places here unfortunately and the bar we normally go to wasn't actually that busy. The most interesting thing that happened was a drunk guy came up to me and my date and told him he should hold onto me because I drink Guinness. :P

It's going to almost reach 80 degrees here today, and then be back in the 50's by the end of the week.

Wait, it was St Patrick's day at some point? Huh, must have missed it.

One more month of school! And then the long, lazy summer. How are classes, Jon?

Right now ?? Not too great, Mireille, not too great. I'm simply not into it, I hate my schedule, and I seriously don't have a very good feeling about the remaining weeks. I guess We'll see what will happen.  :hmm:

I mean it wouldn't be the end of the world if my grades were not what I was expecting, it would only mean that I have lost a(another) year of my life. But hey, for now things are ok, I just don't have a good feeling for the month of april.

You ?? How are your classes ??

I just love Québec.

I don't wish I lived in France. I just think Québec is underrated even by many of it's own citizens. We already are world class in many ways. Not bad for a single province with not even 8 million people.

;)

So you have these two faster-than-light neutrinos walking into a bar...

Um... well, everything you just said? That's EXACTLY how it's going for moi. I'm just waiting for September, so I can have a clean slate and start over. My grades are probably so bad there's no point trying to salvage it. Still, life... she is good.

Also, le femmes du Ontario are just are good, damnit.

Cheer up you two. You'll both do alright. Beautiful day here. Staying warm and sunny. Turned off the heat hopefully for the summer now. Don't need it.
Just a little concerned about a pic my youngest son sent me that he took less than an hour ago. He lives in the sticks of Oklahoma east of Tulsa and he was in his truck. Open fields and a nasty thunderstorm. Totally black sky. You can see a funnel trying to drop in the not far enough for me distance. Hope we don't hear about tornadoes out there. I have it in my pics on my comp, but, at the risk of sounding stupid, I'm not sure how to call it up and post it here.
