One in five will experience the terrifying phenomenon of sleep paralysis. Victims wake to find that they are paralyzed and unable to move or speak. Many experience frightening visions of demons, shadows, or an old woman known as "The Hag."

Sounds frightening , luckily I've never suffered from this problem but did suffer from a related problem that I was able to cure by taking a tonic .

My sleep disorder was caused by a mineral missing from my diet , never did find out which mineral it was but the tonic replaced it and my sleep disorder disappeared .
The Ark of the Covenant was the sacred chest, overlaid with gold, which occupied the inner sanctum of the temple and symbolised God's covenant with his people.. Covenant= The promises that God made to his people as recorded in the bible. The Ark of the Covenant has never been found .

I have had this happen to me a few times in my life. i thought it was kinda normal. but it almost always happens right when i fall asleep. oI am sleeping but dreaming i am awake at that moment. then something makes me very scared and i feel helpless and cant scream for help or move or anything. but all off a sudden i wake up( i thought i was already awake).scared as helland relieved it was a dream.they happen randomly. and its hard to describe. I have never really seen anything about this before. these "dreams of being awake" scare me very bad cause there is always a wierd presence in my room. i

I remember seeing the hag mention in another post about the Shadow People? Or something like that.
Even a man who is pure of heart
And says his prayers by night
May become a wolf when the wolfsbane blooms
And the autumn moon is bright.

this describes my experiences ( about 5 - 10 times in 15 years ) exactly. its hard to tell if its real or if its a dream. i dont know anyone else who,s had this so its good to find its not just me.

the first time this happened i was 18 still at my parents. i have an image of several child like humanoids at the bottom of my bed and the sensation of being pinned to my bed. weird i know, but none the less true.

Yeah, I get sleep paralysis and my mums seen the hag. She thought it was a ghost. Then she told me it came over to her bed and then started sitting on her chest. Straight away I knew: sleep paralysis. I almost didnt have the heart to tell her.

I've never seen the hag but just the thought of it scares me...
I've first experienced sleep paralysis around 3 years ago, and since then I've had too many episodes to count (probably close to 20 or so).
I nearly always get horrible hallucinations whether they are auditory or I see things. Sleep Paralysis is the most frightening thing that ever happened to me.

This is real and it happens to soo many people.I watched The Entity-Chanel 4 Documentary and that's as real as it get's.It up set me in a way that when  scientist hear about these things, they use you like a rat then send you of home.No one has ever come up with any real help.I have had these all my life until last year, when I had the worst one of all,I almost died from that.I tried to seek help everywhere, you name it I tried.Nothing.After months of doing my own research I realized that these dark spirits or whatever you want to call them, love fear,But the good news is they hate the word LOVE and LIGHT, and prayers. They tried   to come back but when I say I come from love and light they go like a flash. It's been a year now, and not had any since.I hope it helps anyone going through this.

This has happened to my son, well I think this is what was happening. He was absolutely terrified...He was seeing an apparition of a young girl...Feeling that he was being pulled out of bed by his leg...His duvet cover moving up and down... Also hearing voices....Very scary stuff, for anyone to suffer you have my sympathies...

Hi Karen, I'm sorry to hear that your son, has had these experience, nothing worse then it happening to a child.Since I last posted both my boys had the experience, at different  times, but they remembered what I told them to say and yes they were very frighted, but told me it went away when the said they come from love and light.I also blessed their room with sage. It's very inportant for kids to know that their parents believe them, but not show any fear.Kids can see more the adults but for some reason you can always feel a sense of fear when it's not good.I hope your son is OK and not had any more.

This happens to me all the time.  It has to do with your brain essentially waking up before the rest of your body.  I can pretty much assure you that there is nothing paranormal about sleep paralysis.

I have done a lot of study on sleep paralysis, and have also writen every details of all the times I have had them, I also had many when I was just getting in bed, not even asleep.I respect other peoples views, but I do believe it's more then what science say's that it's the result of disrupted REM sleep, but that's just my belief.I found this site sometime ago and thought it had some intresting points http://www.spiritual...tSleepparalysis

Sleep paralysis is insane. I have it at least 15 times a month. It happens so much to me i try to embrace it. But i usually think my heart races and freak out sort of, even though i know i should stay calm. I hope learn even more about this because it happens to me a lot more than what most people say they experience. Human evolution needs to happen sometime
