Maryborough UFO phenomenon remains unsolved

Recommended Posts

Yeh, perhaps a natural phenomenon which doesn't show up when photographed....

BTW - We do NOT drink Fosters in Australia!

(That beer is so awful we only export it!)

Considering this was at night - when people see Min Mins - I reckon you would have a doozy of a time getting a half decent pic with very decent equipment. A small fast moving light against a night sky makes a tough target. Shutter speed vs Object speed would be quite something to master I would imagine.

Thanks for the link psyche101. Though when a natural 'light phenomena' is perceived as a black object with lights at each end, as in Hessdalen, I shy away from concluding that it is indeed a natural light phenomena. Nevertheless, objectivity should remain paramount. *Edit*

That is personal opinion based on what you expect an Alien craft to be constructed like though - isn't it. As the lights are constantly observed (currently about 20 times a year according to the website) there is no reason to believe this is ET but natural phenomena. I suspect plate tectonics might be a factor.

The Hessdalen Project has proven beyond doubt that these lights are natural phenomena. To me, this indicates that we have much to learn about natural phenomena still and that we should open our minds a little more as to what is beneath our feet. This is what I find most admirable about the study:

We know the light phenomena produces considerable luminous energy. Can a study of the Hessdalenphenomenon lead us to a new clean energy source?

If we were to insist that this too is ET, and take study no further than that it seems we may well be shooting ourselves in the foot.

Well, Im not really saying that all light phenomena observed are indeed alien space craft, far from it, because as we know, they are not. But your talking to someone who is convinced that some of these objects are indeed just that. My ideas of what an alien craft should look like aren't based on my own opinions but on how they actually appear to be.

Also Im not really saying the Hasselden Project is misguided. It should be supported on the grounds that you've pointed out.

Okay, I don't do debate :) but thanks. I'm going to look into the findings of the Hessdalen Project some more.

How about fire lanterns and people with no knowledge of night-time photography - the self-claimed UFO expert included.

Just luv the assumption that Chinese lanterns are only released by Chinese people at Chinese NY...

I agree. Yep our neighbours,(2 houses across), are Not Chinese either,. ,..and around Christmas time they lit a couple of lanterns. Quite nice watching them go up in the air. However i wasn't able to get clear pictures of them at all. Closest camera was my Cellphone camera, which naturally, isnt the best thing to have, in this case. Especially when it took me a few minutes to get the thing out of my pocket and working. By that stage the lanterns looked like very tiny flecks on my screen lol ;)
