The Haunting (1963), the classic haunted house movie

The Innocents (1961), creepy subtexts and the distinct lines between what is real and what is imagined is blurred

Nekromantic creeped me the hell out. Possibly due to the grainy production, aswell as the multiple acts of corpse loving. Not many movies make me feel sick afterwards, but Nekromantic managed it, as did Dread (2009). I'm desensitized to most of the classics now (TCM, Exorcist, etc).
I didn't find Necromantik scary,but gross.
The bits in the tub,and the bit when the penis fell off,and hanging it on the wall...
So gross.
There's a part 2 I believe.I said,I will pass ,thanks.

Eraserhead, this movie will scare you into a coma. I actually watched it alone in my bedroom with the lights off...and I have no idea how I managed that...It was a very strange kinda movie in that I wasn't so freaked out while watching it, but afterward when I kept thinking about it, that's a true physiological film!

I talked to some people on campus who actually told me they were too scared to finish watching the movie...it's very intense in its own weird and subtle ways...
Really ? It put me to sleep the first 3 times I tried to watch it.The bleeding squab on the plate is classic though.

Insidious scared the crap out of me when I recently saw it so I consider that my scariest movie. I don't really count movies with a crap ton of jump scares scary, just annoying. I do like the movies with a creepy atmosphere and the suspense that puts you on the edge. Gore is okay too, but I don't care for the shocking gore like Serbian Film or Human Centipede.

The Innocents is a must see horror film for especially for you since Carnival Of Souls is one of your scariest horror films.

"I charge thee in the sight of God, who giveth life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed the good confession; that thou keep the commandment, without spot, without reproach, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: which in its own times he shall show, WHO IS THE BLESSED AND ONLY POTENTE, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS; who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power eternal. Amen" (I Tim 6:13-16).

I think The Grudge and The Ring had the most lasting effects on me. While I didn't get too scared while watching them, afterward I would freak out whenever the TV show I was watching would suddenly turn off and turn into that white loud staticky screen (usually from accidentally pressing a button on the remote) and kept imagining that creepy-ass little boy from The Grudge appearing at the side of my bed. :)

Insidious also kinda scared me, but only because of all the loud sudden noises (which I agree is pretty annoying). I hated the ending, though.

1408. Well made film. The Sixth Sense for the same reason.

Power hath descended forth from Thy hand Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.

The first Paranormal Activity, I loved that there was no "monster" that was shown and no special effects...had trouble sleeping for a few nights.
And the first half of 1408.  When they started adding all the special effects, it stopped being scary.
