Sammy sammy sammy... Get On Your Bad Motorscooter and Ride.

Wasn't much of a fan of Van Hagar, BUT, I did see them perform, and he's a great entertainer... not as great as DLR, who I also saw a number of times... but still worth the price of admission.

Wow… Truly I have never seen a thread disintegrate so quickly before.  There will always be fans of both the Red Rocker and Diamond Dave.  However, the question is this:  Do you think that Sammy had actually been abducted?

No, I doubt he was abducted but I heard Gary Cherone was. :P

Sorry but I don't believe this at all. For as much time he spent writting lyrics and his songs, you would think if this was really happening he would have detailed all his experiences in a book or something along those lines. Instead he just tells news reporters and TV shows about these experiences and has a small passage in his upcoming book about them? Amazing what famous people will do to get their name in the press once they have fallen out of the limelight or what they will say to try and sell something.

Old news. He revealed this twenty years ago.

Whether I believe it or not is beside the point--and I am inclined to believe that most UFO witnesses are telling the truth as they saw it, and that only a small percentage are deliberately lying or hoaxing.

Of course, there's no way he can prove his experience in the scientific sense, but it was probably a real experience just the same.

I heard Sammy talk about the alien episode on TV at least 10 years ago. It sounded like a sleep paralysis-type incident.

Anyway VH was heavier with DLR.   But I don't think the original band chemistry can ever be repeated again, even with the same band members.
Too much has changed since then, with the world and the band.

Sammy had some hits before VH. My personal favorite is "Your love is driving me crazy" from 1983 or so.

I am another anonymous face in the crowd. I am just another tiny wheel in the machinery of the world I live in.
