ive been watching gymnastics since it started and now its finished, for the women: USA (Carly Patterson) in first place, Russia (Svetlana Khorkina) in second and China in third.

Svetlana should have taken the gold but Carly beat her by like 0.02 something...Svetlana is the queen of gymnastics!!

ive also been watching the swimming and SOUTH AFRICA won the relay finals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  got gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no one could believe it!!!!!  we were all so emotional lol...and we've won another silver aswell... and in rowing we've done pretty well too.

we just beat germany in the womens hockey too...

go south africa!!!!!!!!!!!   grin2.gif  grin2.gif  grin2.gif

You all should be very proud of your athelets. They have represented your countries with dignity and in most cases humbleness.  Good luck to all the nations of the world.

Exactly, Thorpe is a true legend at swimming and at the next olympics he will get the trifecta, the 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle gold medals! Hes the only man in history to win medals in all three freestyle sprint events!!! thumbsup.gif

The aussies already have 27 medals, 11 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze!!! What a superb effort and we still have a week to go!!!

Every country ive watched so far, every athlete, has given their best and done such a great job that they all deserve our respect and a giant round of applause!!!

Iraq is into the semis after beating australia  disgust.gif  in the quaters and I hoipe they can go all the way and win the gold. They trully deserve it!!!

Can the aussies finish third on the medal tally for thr first time or will we hang onto fourth spot like last olympics, only time will tell!!!

AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE!  Oi! Oi! Oi!

and over 20 million table tennis players!! More than the population of Australia  laugh.gif

no wonders they always win.
