Does the evidence point to something unusual on Phobos or is there a more conventional explanation ?

Definently sounds creepy. Wasn't there a monolith in Stanly Kubricks film?

Yes there is a 'monolith' on Phobos, It's likely a piece of meteor impact ejecta... IMO

I think it's something conventional. Like how the face on Mars turned out to be conventional.

I knew about he failed missions and the supposed statement of "something coming toward the spacecraft" as the last pic, but didn't know about the shadow. I agree with Pax.  I mean, look at all the weird shapes we have here.  Not to mention how many failed missions the Russians had around this time in their hurry to compete.

I tend to agree that the monolith is probably a geological feature. Doesn't NASA have newer pictures of Phobos?

The long streak in the video could be a meteor skipping off the surface. A meteor could easily be what killed that Russian probe also.

hmm, very interesting indeed. I believe there is enough interest in phobos for further research, isn't there?

The general vicinity of the monolith is a proposed landing site for a Canadian Space Agency vehicle, funded by Optech and the Mars Institute, for an unmanned mission to Phobos known as PRIME... From wicki Phobos monolith article

At the end of the day...you will never get to hear what it is.
The face on mars is a hill...despite the fact that Nasa could supply a better resolution image correctly filtered. They chose to release an incorrect image. This hs never been corrected nor will it.You cannot rubbish a conspiracy theory when you conspire to withhold . If it was only a hill why not show us the hi resolution image they have corectly filtered. They have it!

The anomaly on phobos will be treated the same..its a rock see this grainy image..see !
when its evident you won't be able to.

Interesting after all the funding that went into SETI..they have closed it down..ironically when technical advances made for a more far reaching and wider indepth scanning.

There is something happening that they dont want you to be privvy to....I'm not suggeting aliens (that would be nuts) maybe a large rock in space or structure on a planetary surface.

You can't hide the historically unpresidented amount of tornado's in USA..the volcanic activity..the sun activity...earthquakes.Something is happening and its too quick to be global warming.

What about the other part of this Video, where the Russians claim there was something there 'that did not belong'.  And the 'shadow' they are on about.

I remember when this happened originally, and thought it sounded intriguing, but never really learned anything more.
