The makers of the show make think it is real, but it is one of those shows that just makes me cringe in embarrassment for how fake it comes across. I have watched several of the shows, giving it a chance to be "real" and for the life of me it just comes across as a few hysterical guys locked up in a scary place overnight.
The "evp's" that they come up with are by far the most creatively edited bits of static I have ever seen and I doubt anyone would come up with the same words that they do if it were not for the subtitles on each evp. I will back up and replay the evp's to see if I can hear what they are claiming, and 90% of them end up being nothing close to what the subtitles are claiming.
People that do these kinds of investigations will be really happy to get a single evp, or a single bit of photo evidence in an entire night of research...somehow zach gets an evp every 5 minutes, has an entity scratch him, gets goosed by the ghost of a prostitute, the cameramen get thrown around like ragdolls, they get screamed at, have things thrown at them...it goes on and on, all in the space of an evening. To get so much wild evidence in such a short period of time leads me to believe that there is a bit of theatrics going on to keep the show exciting.
Too many people on both sides of the spectrum have fallen into this mentality that a full one half of the country are the enemy for having different beliefs...in a country based on freedom of expression. It is this infighting that allows the focus to be taken away from "we the people" being able to watch, and have control over government corruption and ineptitude that is running rampant in our leadership.
People should be working towards fixing problems, not creating them.
