@coldethyl, I have a brother in law that looks so much like dean its creepy.

@OP I don't think they intentionally fake it, more like they get something and flip the hell out. I wouldn't however doubt if the producers or whatever sneak in a few jabs at the truth like say a 2 way radio into a spirit box so they can spice up the show... But if you go by these guys' reaction, you could clearly tell they don't know what is coming and when...

I watched it every once in awhile and a lot of time, Zak and Co. claimed to have been touched...especially Zak, who have claimed ghosts grabbing his ass and other parts of his body.

One thing that p***es me off so bad is people think you have to have some great ass reason to believe in something. If a person believes that Ghost adventures is real it is what it is some of us are not into being skeptics.Like I always said untill you investigate somewhere crzay haunted or experience it it always be fake to you. As far as Zak and the boys not having degrees so what it's the train as you go theory with ghost hunting you learn more and more every time you investigate. Science cannot explain everything because some things are not meant to be explained so can chastisings someone because they believe. One day when your soul rips from your body I hope som of you don't remain here then by that time it's too late to believe because you will be what you didn't believe.....feel me.

I'll do no such thing.

I believe in the paranormal, i'm just saying that in my opinion this show isn't entirely accurate.

Facts are facts
Here is one: Many other people use the same kinds of equipment as they do on this show, and they record nothing.
Here is another: None of the equipment is proven to have any connection with the paranormal. Their equipment has not even proven the ability to do record the paranormal.
One more fact: In order for a show to stay on air, it must produce. This applies to all shows, none are above the cut.

Based on the facts, I have made an opinion that them being able to record evidence almost on command is not real. There is no known device that positively 100% captures evidence of the paranormal, by those means they have to try using other devices that MIGHT do the job. They seem to grab an EVP or EMF every single attempt! Picture the same show without EMF, EVP, Night Vision, UV, IR... Also picture the show where in almost all cases there is nothing to give you.. Would you continue watching?

Ask yourself why do the hunters' seem so shocked when finding results? Is it because they had no clue "Bob" is messing with the devices to make up evidence?

Once again, that is not coming from a skeptic.. That is coming from a believer in the paranormal being realistic about the shows expectation to produce.

In the Riddle House episode, it looked like they might have faked the tipping over of the bird cage.  Also, there were several instances where it looks like the boys were actually the ones saying the words repeated by the spirit box.  Of course, I don't know for sure, but there's enough there to make me thing some of it is at least faked.  Regardless, it's my favorite show on TV and I never miss an episode.

I'm an anthropologist, I have a degree in reading people and their bodylanguages. Yes there is a lot of hype for the sake of entertainment in GA but I can assure you their reactions are legit. There's nothing fake about this show at least not as far as ghost hunting show goes. Everyone who's investigated with them that i've read up on and talked to legitimately say they are really nice guys. And they admit when evidence has been faked by someone not a lot of shows like this do that.

So, what did you all think of that image Bill Chappell caught with his Kinect motion tracker at the Colorado Grande Casino?
That was pretty neat, especially when it waved back at him.

Look here when he explain and talk about his Kinect-device and software: [broken video link removed]

Look from here on where they get the image on screen, reacting on command and wave at them when Billy ask it to: [broken video link removed]

So, are they blatantly faking all this, or is it something else?
What do you think?

See the whole episode here:

As usual, there are allot of claims being made against the electronic equipment used but also as usual, no one is stepping up to explain/prove exactly how the equipment fakes evidence.

How exactly, on demand, does a cold spot as registered by a thermometer sync up with both an EMF detector going off and an EVP being captured saying "I'm a ghost" while the scene is simultaneously being filmed from multiple locations [w/ time synced cameras] around the scene to later prove no one was pulling strings out of camera view? They do try to be as scientific as possible for the skeptic in all of us, but seems some of you cannot be bothered to actually pay close enough attention to the details as they do. It's so much easier to simply scoff and move on, I suppose.

During the first season Aaron and Nick get spooked by something and run away. Zak promptly chews them out for acting so unprofessionally. His response was even part of the original opening credits sequence for years and years... "STOP RUNNING!"

To be fair it must be noted that yes, the guys reactions to evidence seems to have become more... pronounced than it used to be but hey, they are aging and staying up all night takes a toll. Heck, these days, I get a little weird after 11:00 pm. lol

It is entirely possible the team has mistaken/misrepresented a dust particle or bug as evidence when it wasn't but there are good examples of the opposite being true. Personally, the examples of when an object is seen flying towards and appear to penetrate anyone's head and then, without the victim being aware of the event he suddenly goes a bit sideways behaviorally, are some of the strongest, most relevant and scary examples of paranormal activity. The witness reactions to those events are always on par with what I felt watching it occur.

Finally, regarding the amount of evidence collected, it does seem excessive. I've watched all the other shows and the norm for them would be a single EVP at best. I agree with the sentiment expressed up thread by a couple respondents; it's their style of hunting which causes so much evidence. One other show, which only ran a couple special episodes [Extreme Paranormal Episode 1 & 2]  reproduced their extreme methods to similar results. I think the takeaway is 'they', (whatever they are) are willing or want to coexist peacefully but will react when provoked.

Dam i completely forgot about this thread lol. But ya you do make a good point about all the equipment going off at the same time with multiple camera viewpoints filming. If you have noticed them trying to explain a single piece of evidence takes up almost 10 minutes out of the 1 hour time they have to show the evidence out of 11+ hours of trying to get evidence. All from them trying to explain stuff from a Skeptics point of view. They have mentioned in there books that they don't show everything they captured on TV due to the 1 hour time limit.

I do admit i like watching Paranormal TV due to my own personal experiences. But they have showed on multiple occasions what a true orb is. If they aren't all bugs or dust particles then more science should be done to explain why these things are attracted to energy. When they appear why does it sound like someone is walking on the floorboards etc.,

I'm with you on that too. I like to think a little skeptic and a little paranormal enthusiast is in me each time I watch this. I do wonder how all those situations come across indefinately as a ghost. I'm like, it doesn't really mean it is, but yeah, it could be. *shrugs*

Ooooh, he was yelling at Aaron and Nick?! I thought he was saying that to the ghosts. Interesting.

You know, I always feel that GA seem to have more 'evidence' than other shows. So in one sense, I don't think that would usually happen. Then again, I like watching GA differently, because they get more 'evidence' Maybe it's over reacting and I don't know if it's fake, but I guess it entertains me when they get more. :tu:
