Hi everyone, can you tell me, that i've heard the Sumerian kingdom had made very extensive expeditions underground and many of their accounts have been lost even unknown by other ancient civilizations. They effectively had cities underground, can someone tell me more? The source for this was a book at the library i read a long time ago.

I've heard that they did actually create tunnels and I think I've heard something about them actually constructing an underground settlement or something, but I'm not sure.

The Sumerians? Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't they the ones who had the rather advanced sewer system and running water through-out their city (or at least parts of the cirty)?

I have read many stories of sub-terrainian worlds and I must admit, they fasinate me more than most UM; but I do not recall reading that the ancient Sumerians had any sub-terrainian worlds.

Thanks for your replies, i continue my research on the subject. The Sumerians were reknowned for their sewer system that removed waste using baked brick chasms and pipes.

What subterranean worlds do you speak of Dr. Strangelove?

Around the great flood a large portion of the Sumerians went underground to survive, now i want to know what regions exactly.
